Why is MiTalk a system app?

I don't use MiTalk and think its unnecessary that it loads when my phone starts.
Is there some way to uninstall it?

MIUI isn't just a rom, it's a suite of apps, including miliao (MiTalk). If you have a working knowledge of adb you can do the following commands to remove MiTalk.

adb remount
adb shell
cd system/app
rm miliao.apk
sync
exit
adb reboot

Hope this helps

you can take the .apk out of the MIUI ZIP.

Open the ROM(ZIP file) using your computer
go to SYSTEM -> APP
In there, Delete Miliao.apk
now, when you flash the rom, it wont be installed.
take out the .APKS you dont want out of the ZIP file before flashing the ROM to your phone.

Or just remove it with root explorer, just call me old fashioned :p If you're going to remove it from the rom, be sure to remove it from the deodex Chinese rom AND the language pack if your phone uses that format. If everything is packaged into one file then just delete just the one.

I removed Miliao.apk and miliao.apk (i think it is the italian translation) and now all first time i open "messages" app it crash!

I'm using MIUI 1.11.4 without app installed (samsung galaxy S)
