I'm owner of a Redmi 2 - hm2xtdpro - 16 GB, 2 GB RAM
I have some question. Last available version on xiaoimi.eu for hm2xtdpro is 7.3.30 but on en.miui.com/download-261.html last available version for Redmi 2 is version 7.6.8 (but unfortunately after install these roms phone don't found mobile connection, I don't know why)
I only want ask why on xiaomi.eu last version is from March but on official page last version is from last month?

Quoting MIUI 9 7.8.10 thread:
3) From late September, 2017
MIUI 9 ROM for all the other Xiaomi / Redmi devices (except EOL) will be successively released to the public!
So, there will be no MIUI9 for Redmi 2 because Redmi2 boards are already listed as End of Life (EOL).
Even if Redmi 2 has probably enough horse power to run MIUI9, we will have to stick with MIUI8.

Quoting MIUI 8.6 7.7.13/15/17 thread:
As a result of a carefully discussed decision, starting from 12th of June, 2017. Some devices will be suspended from regular Global Beta ROM updates (Global/China Stable ROM will not be affected by this decision). This progress will be lasting for a while. Our most optimistic estimate of this suspension decision will be ended gradually for each individual device starting in August. Please check the announcement regularly for any updates. Once again, thank you for your understanding and pardon. We will bring you a better MIUI for sure.

Update suspended temporarily for the following devices (From 12th June to August, including Closed/Open Dev/Alpha):
Mi 2/2S / Mi 3 / Mi 4 / Mi Note / Mi Pad 1 / Mi Pad 2 / Google Nexus 5 / Redmi 1 / Redmi 1S / Redmi 2 / Redmi 2A / Redmi 2 Prime / Redmi 3 / Redmi 3S/3X / Redmi 4A / Redmi 4 / Redmi 4 Prime / Redmi Pro / Redmi Note 4 / Redmi Note 3G / Redmi Note 4G / Redmi Note Prime / Redmi Note 2 / Redmi Note 3 MTK / Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm
As you stated, the last available beta ROM on xiaomi.eu is 7.3.30, while on the Chinese site it is 7.6.8. That would have been great to get xiaomi.eu version matching Chinese beta 7.6.8.

As dev freeze will not affect Global/China Stable ROM, we should still get security updates through stable ROM.
On Chinese site, the last global stable ROM for Redmi 2 TD is MIUI 8.2, which is already available on xiaomi.eu since 13/03/2017.

Too bad, xiaomi.eu dropped beta support for old devices, and will provide only stable ROM now.

Will it be something new for a redmi 2 td version with 1gb ram? I currently use 8.2.1.0 (KHJCNDL) xiaomi-eu stable hm2xtd

Edit: Will the Chinese version lock the bootloader?

Since V8.5.1.0.LHJCNED (MIUI8)for Redmi 2 TD is not yet available on xiaomi.eu, I decided to try Chinese weekly rom 7.11.16 (MIUI9)from official site (http://www.miui.com/download-273.html#453).
I updated same way as for xiaomi.eu: copying the rom on phone and manually starting update.
The process was quite straightforward.
UI was still in English after update.
Mi store is included in rom, but Google store is not, so I had to manually install some Google packages to get it working, but it was easy to find packages and tutorial to do so on internet.
I had to decline Mi Store update for Firefox browser, because it was trying to install the same version (0.57) but in Chinese, otherwise other updates were OK.
I could not see many differences compared to Xiaomi.eu roms: UI runs smoothly, and everything works as expected.
Last but not least, the android security patch included is quite old (January 2017, see capture below), so, unfortunately, vulnerabilities like blueborne (see https://www.armis.com/blueborne/) are still not patched in rom 7.11.16.

Xiaomi finally released MIUI 9 Chinese stable ROM for redmi 2 TD yesterday over the air: v9.2.1.0LHJCNEK.
See capture below.
Unfortunately, Android security patch level is still lagging behind: 2017-01-01. One year old!! Really? Hackers might be very happy: one year later, your device can still be hacked. I guess if a massive blue borne attack happen, Xiaomi would have to finally secure their old ROMs.
Otherwise, no UI changes for MIUI 9 with this one.
