How could I get widevine L1 in Lavender? Currently I have Widevine L3, since 2 months ago I was in an AOSP and my sensors broke and I went to MIUI and it was still the same and I flash the Persist.img partition and since I have not recovered Widevine L1, until I returned to Stock and lock the bootloader and not even recover L1, now I am on Xiaomi.eu 20.3.26 and I am still on L3, is there no solution to that problem?

We will never get again, I am in the same situation.
As I understand, persist partition content some certificate's of DRM L1, which cannot be recovered in anyway, persist partition flashed by us not contain that certificate's.
Certificate's are implement there only at the factory level.
Also, a similar persist partition taked from another DRM L1 phone will not work on our phones, there are different calibration of the sensors.
i have a persist partition taked from a L1 phone, maybe I will try to flash at a moment, but I don't want problems for now.
That's it, this happened when not reading with attention some informations before taking some actions like erase partitions on the phone, was getting in "Find device error internal memory corrupted", and I was found solution with reflashing persist partition, but information about permanently loose of DRM L1 wasn't there at that moment.

thanks for your words.
And may be worse but not confirmed:
It seems the rights they never come back even when you flash your own persist backup.

Yes, I've heard about that. Even a previously backup of your version will not working.
PS: excuse my English please.

I'm on the exact same situation. I found information about it really difficult to gather, and everyone say different things.
I'm gonna post here in hope someone comes with a way to fix it...

I found the solution to this Widevine L3 problem on Netflix at least

Netflix Forced HD app for Custom ROM(Widevine L3) users .

1) Download the APK - https://mega.nz/#!8kolQCZD!41AgT0fF_cUTBijfOH5-RlIHeSsZfq9ZY3Xocqn_hb4

2) Install it and hide via magisk.

3) log into your Netflix account and Enjoy HD quality videos.

Note -> Don't update it via Play Store.

I'm sorry to say, but this is completely innapropiate workarround to resolving this problem.
We asking for a correct fix by restoring the initial state of the partition persist, maybe...i know, from what is heard, it's impossible, but, who knows, maybe one day?...

Well, I wanted to try china beta and after flash it I loose L1, so I came back to EU and stock through recovery but didn't work, even by flashing my own backup. I was resignated. Then, by testing a new kernel I got bricked, even deleted my recovery and didn't allow to flash through adb, I had only fastboot mode, so I had to flash stock through Mi Flash (keeping bl unlocked) and voilá! I recovered L1. IDK why but now I'm on EU again and keeping L1!

Well here is a solution I was given to try to see if Widevine L1 recovery works for them.

They flash the VBMETA in its recovery, the VBMETA I leave attached.
restart the device.
The device will remain in Fastboot, will not go into recovery or the system.
Well, they flash their Rom Stock through My FLASH and block the bootloader or leave it open as they want and can recover the Widevine L1

Anyone tried?

I am pretty sure that I have read somewhere that if you flash the ROM by fastboot instead of recovery that L1 should be restored.

are you sure? And do you mean stock rom with "the rom"? Cuz I always used fastboot rom to flash stock. I don't know about flashing EU in fastboot
