Xiaomi 15 Ultra HyperOS 3.0.5.0 WOAEUXM (EU version) & Xiaomi Pad 7s 12.5 Pro with Chinese ROM HyperOS 3.0.6.0 WOTCNXM – Interconnectivity Issues

Hi everyone,

I have a European Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and during my stay in China I bought a Xiaomi Pad 7s Pro 12.5. I’m logged into the same Xiaomi account (phone number) on both devices. Xiaomi Share works fine, and the UI being in English is something I expected — no problem there.

What I don’t understand is why the two ROMs don’t properly work together and why Xiaomi Interconnectivity Service isn’t functioning at all. From what I’ve read, it’s most likely due to the mismatch between the EU and CN ROMs. This has been a real inconvenience: while in China, I wasn’t able to pair most of the cool (and much cheaper) smart devices from various Chinese brands because my phone runs the EU firmware.

Is there any way to install a different version of Xiaomi Interconnectivity on both devices so they can “communicate” properly?

I found some APK packages online and tried installing them, but none of them would install.

Any advice would be appreciated!

No, unfortunately, there is no simple or official solution to make the Xiaomi interconnection work between a European (EEA) ROM and a Chinese (CN) ROM.
