Basically the same as miui 12, we got almost nothing of miui 12.5 with the rom for mi 8. The 12.5 is just in name XD Even security patch is from december 2020, like WTF

Some have hope that we still get a 12.5 properly and the reason is because this rom is still beta and not final release. But i am not so sure.

My 12.1 weekly is running with opengl 3.2 @0464 and vulkan 1.1.28. And all Globals and stable Xiaomi.eu I've tested so far have drivers below this weekly 12.1 version. It doesn't make any sense that these newer ROMs use drivers older than the Weekly 12.1 beta, But unfortunately this is what I have found. So, can anyone confirm if this 12.5 at least has the latest GPU drivers?

Hello, i'm new user, i install this rom on my Mi 8 EE, but 3D IR not work, and the traslation is bad in my language. Do older versions have working 3D IR?
If not, can someone pass me the Global ROM? On the net there is only the EU and China...

You can update the GPU driver the file on xda

No, I can't update the gpu drivers. I don't use magisk and the drivers only work with installation via magisk, I don't know why, but since the last update from the adreno drivers project, the installation via recovery is causing bootlop on several smartphones.

So does that mean this MIUI 12.5 still uses 2019 drivers? Wow what the crap. What a lack of respect for those who have SD845.

sadly to said yes they still using the old driver for adreno only the way is installation via magisk since this phone more than 3 years you cant expect get support anymore

Which doesn't make sense, since beta weekly 12.1 has 2020 drivers since June 2020

Since I installed the 12.5 Rom, with wipe data etc .. I have major problems with bluetooth connections. Phone does not connect to my Huami watches and from my Bryton GPS tracker I can't download the new recorded tracks ( connection fails after 9-30% of the download ).
Anybody else have same problems ? IIs tthere any fix ?
 
Anybody losing Google Pay contactless payments recently? It says "Phone doesn't meet the security requirements" and "may be rooted or tampered in some way". I have used NFC contactless payments for all july. SafetyNet is lost aswell. I have uninstalled magisk and reflashed the rom, cleared all Pay/Services/Play Store data but still complains about rooted. I have modified build.prop and fstab.qcom with f2fs data partition, also update regularly from apkmirror xiaomi apps from adb install but never had a problem until a few days ago.
Maybe lastest google updates detected Magisk...

I had Magisk Hide for necessary apps, obfuscated appname, systemless hosts and even fingerprint props magisk module and reset fingerprint.

Anybody has the same problem?
I have also lost Google Play Device Certification Status. It seems it's related.
