Hello,
Radio chip Broadcom BCM4354, which is installed in the device, officially supports FM radio.
I installed Spirit FM 2014_07_22a with auto settings.
And it seen that the radio does operates and even RDS. The problem is in the output sound. It's unavailable. All audio drivers were tried out. But there there are huge amount of settings, so that might be all community efforts will be success.

So glad to know about that!! I can't wait to try this evening!! Have you tried ALSA mixer? I'm no expert but I believe it can tweak lots of sound options, outputs, etc.

It does not work.
"Mixer attach default error: No such device"
"Control default open error: No such device"

Yeah, I tried myself, same issues. It's a pity, I'd love to see FM working on Mi Pad. I'll raise the question in the official forums, see if we can get an answer.
