Xiaomi Redmi 7: Lost all contacts, can't restore

My Xiaomi Redmi 7 phone lost all my contacts.

Trying to restore them in Settings > Google > Set up & restore > Restore contacts gives me a screen "confirm your old redmi 7 screen lock".
After I enter the screen lock 4-digit code, it says "Something went wrong. Try again later".

Any ideas?

Find in the cell phone setting the millet cloud service recycling operation Settings > account > cloud services > trash > address book.

hey, it also might be an issue with the google sync or authentication... try restarting your phone and then go to settings > accounts > google > remove the google account and add it again
