Stock Jellybean 4.1.1 on xiaomi M2/2S (Latest is QDT14 with Changelog)

the QCR89 android on xiaomi site is 4.1.1 .. it nice but you lose some features in camera settings..

I'm asking about the Miui 5.0 stock rom not Android JB stock rom (which I have already installed on my Mi2 phone) except for getting google play store to work with their stock JB image.

Thanks alot to hadron's post, I've got Stock Jelly Bean and Playstore running on my Mi2. Got it Monday morning and left for CES 3 hours later so just used MIUI default while I was there. Cool phone.

can anyone please upload the zip to a fileserver, it takes ages for me to download...

After I install this one, the touchscreen doesn't work. I can't unlock the startscreen. So I can't do anything but to flash back to miui....
Flashing was done using miflash in fastboot mode.

No one had issue with screen before may be a bad flash. Did you clear all data?

Went over the whole procedure again. Same results. Touchscreen not working. Is it possible it has something to do with first flashing to JLB10?

Same here. Touchscreen not working :-(

Downloaded everything from scratch from xiaomi.cn Wiped everything, installed using updater, using bootmanager, even tried fastboot again. All with the same result. Flashing goes perfect, but you are stuck with an Android lockscreen and a touchscreen that doesn't work.

I had exactly the same issue. The touch screen part simply didn't work. I tried flashing a single partition and both at the same time so used both rom downloads. I tried it 4 times and after each try every time I went back to the original Chinese rom and it worked first time. I cleared everything possible (I'm aware that the 3 options needed to be used as the translations are incorrect in English as my wife checked the Chinese versions for me)

In the end I gave up and left it with the MIUI rom and replaced the launcher to Nova because I prefer the app draw system (and other features) over the MIUI system.

Loop

p.s my M2 is direct from Xiaomi site so I know its legit.

I followed hadron direction on page 1 and it worked fine.

So did I - touchscreen issue, too. Original MI2, coming from miuiandroid 3.1.19.
- Which setup (both partitions) did you use *before* flashing to the AOSP ROM?
- Do you use *both* partitions with AOSP now?
Initially thought this could be a kernel issue but the AOSP zip comes with it's own kernel (boot.img) included - must be something else...

hmmm. weird. I used this instruction along with the link posted

1- Boot into recovery.
2- wipe all data.
3- boot into system partition one
4- install stock into System 2 using Updater
5- Put stock JLB into root of sdcard and rename it update.zip
6- reboot to recovery and wipe all data
7- install update.zip in partition one
8- Done.

For me I started off with Chinese version... then loaded the JB version on partition 2. At this point JB worked.

Then I decided to wipe P2 and put on this rom from this site..worked fine as I wanted to see what it was like. (.18)

So then I decided I preferred to go back to JB. So I just loaded again onto P2 - Then it stopped working.

Then i tried the duel partition install....didnt work.

Then I restored the Chinese version (duel partition) that worked.

Then I basically tried every combination I could to get JB on using update.zip etc. No go.

At all stages I wiped the cache etc. (all three options as I know the description is wrong) I also tried wiping using the Chinese language version.

Now I'm on .19 and pretty happy with it so its okay but I thought I would repost in case someone is trying to fault find.
