[Discussion] CM12 for Aries by M1cha

Can I ask you how you fixed the audio issues? I would love to fix the bluetooth audio slow-motion in Ivan's build, but I don't have the knowledge to build custom roms. If it's something easy to do, would you mind sharing that with us?
That's nothing u can easily port to another ROM because I'm using a completely different audio HAL.

could not be installed with cwm True Dual Boot. said: "mount:failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: No such file or directory Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset." However, Ivan's asop could be installed and runs well even if Ivan's is worse than M1cha's.

Tdb is deprecated now. All future ROMs won't support it.

Have we to do any repartition when tdb is gone? Or can we use the old partitions with coming grub4android? :)

no, but I'll recommend to delete system2 and resize system1 to the max then, so u will never ever run into gapps problems(I'll create a partition manager).

Is there a tutorial or link to this procedure?

Please think also about unified /data and sd card folders, I'm fighting with my full program space every day. I'm happy to backup/repartition whatever is needed. Thanks for you work!

I saw that thread and message but now I saw M1cha wanted to make a partition manager too. So maybe there could be a way to make it usable for less experienced users. I'm even happy to do all partition changes manually, but I need the rom to support it.

You can reduce sdcard partition and increase size of data partiton. You don't need different ROM for it. ;)

True, but a unified storage approach, as Samsung is doing, is the most flexible solution I think. Maybe I just have too many apps installed...

Its not possible to do this with a part manager and use the same ROM as all other users. This would need a framework mod too that this have to be updated all the times there's a new nightly

Please, don't make this... Because, everytime I wish to wipe data, it will also wipe my SD data... That would be annoying considering I have 2 GB of music and 1 GB of photos....
