Hello everyone !
By changing the screen of my Xiaomi Mi5 I ripped the antenna connector with the motherboard .... (see photos)

I went to a repairman who told me that the signal isn't amplified now (in fact as soon as I am in a building or in the country I have "no service").

Do you know if it is possible to weld ? And if so, it is easy to do yourself (with what gear, which wire etc)? I know nothing about welding, but I think I can easily find someone who could do it if I give him all the information.

Thank you very much !

PS : I'm french, sorry for my english.

Il faut souder avec une panne fine. Un bon réparateur télé peut te faire ça.

I got the same problem. Were you able to rapair it?

Yes ! I was able to have it repaired without problem by Hi-fi system reparator (because it is very small) for 20 €.

But it is quite risky ... The repairer had to remove all the fixing on the motherboard (dangerous) because it was too damaged. He then bared the cable and welded directly to each wire.

I can not remove it now, but it works without problem!

I thought I had pictures, but I do not find them .... If I find them I show you the repair.

Oh nice! I'm glad it worked for u. I will try to solder it myself so if u can find the photos I'll be really grateful

Does anybody knows if that antenna is also responsable for the GPS? i have the same problem and i don;t have full network signal and facing gps problems.
