Hello, guys. I bought a Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro (kenzo, with 3GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, snapdragon processor) last october from gearbest. It came with global developer ROM (with 5.1 android, miui 7), the bootloader was already unlocked. I installed "normal" twrp 3.0.2-2, did a factory reset on twrp, André installed the latest ROM avaiable on this site. The phone started, i chose language (portuguese from Portugal), put Gmail acount, mi acount, etc, no problems. Sinceramente then, i weekly update my ROM, installed zip (ROM and SuperSU), wipe cache at the end and reboot. Everything normal. Last week i received another kenzo (xmas present for my son), same specs, bootloader unlocked. I installed the same twrp version, then did a factory reset on twrp, installed 6.12.22 miui eu ROM and 2.79 SuperSU zip, rebooted the phone. Choose portuguese, chose Wi-Fi, when the phone asked for miui acount there is an error. I bypassed this step, phone working fine, but settings always force close (i cannot open it), and when i tried Tô unistall an APP (drag an icon to basket) the phone reboot. This 6.12.29, the problem is the same. I already tried to do a factory reset, just clear cache, tried to install latest global development oficial ROM (fastboot method with miflash), unlock bootloader again, install twrp and this ROM again. Always get settings force close. I Google several hours and read a lot from this site and others (like xda) and i still did not find a solution. I asked help on xda (no response). I'm asking some help nos. Please guys, let me fix my son's phone... Help me... Thanks...

(I'm sorry if this is answered somewhere but I've googled it for some time and couldn't find and answer to my problem.)
I just bought a Mi5s Plus (4G/128G) which was properly unlocked and has TWRP 3.0.2-X by BY~XM and SuperSU 2.76 installed. I have flashed 6.12.22, 6.12.8 and 6.12.29 all with the same outcome. I have sound on headphones, on bluetooth headset and on call but none on the actual phone (back speaker I think).
I go to the phone ringtones and play a tone. It's playing but I have no sound. If I connect headphones or a bluetooth head set I have sound but once I disconnect them I get no sound from the actual phone (in case you are wondering I hit play again). Same happens with the music player.
My problem is that I do not know if this is a hardware or software failure as I did not test it with the stock MIUI version. I would very much appreciate your help on finding the problem here because my desperation is huge. This was to be my awesome phone but without sound it's just a very expensive paper-weight.
Please let me know what am I missing or how to determine if it is a software or hardware failure. Thank you for your time and your help.

That's exactly what happens to me. It's not that bad but it's not comfortable. Especially if you were writing a text on a form and it closes.. Then you loose it.
Great to see Mi Note Pro finally getting a base android upgrade, especially directly to Android 7,

Regarding my problem with settings->google->accounts, i forced closed google play services and uninstall update, then the problem goes away (using version 9.x). But then gmail and chrome will complain will not run unless I update google play services.
After i update google play services (version 10.x), the gmail and chrome stop complaining but i will get 'something went wrong, try again later' with google account settings.

Just installed last evening on my brand new Mi 5s plus.Amazing!Both the ROM and phone. Previously I had Mi 3,good device,but little old.

i had this error few weeks ago. try fastboot China Dev.: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html unlock bootloader then Install twrp and xiaomi.eu weekly.
