After long time and much hope MIUI 8.2.2.0 is out! I was waiting for it since December, I didn't think that Xiaomi releases its stable much time after developer...
So now here we are, could we get a fabulous Xiaomi.eu Stable 8.2.2.0? I can't wait for it, it'll be epic!

I hope EU and @ingbrzy can do some magic because I installed the chinese firmware for 8.2.2 and I was rather disappointed. It was really laggy, and the animations were dropping frames constantly...I didn't really let the ROM "setttle" per say, but I did run it for a few hours and was disappointed (Used fastboot flash to flash it).

Just don't get your hopes up!

Hi guys, sorry my question, can we move from international rom to chinese rom?

What firmware are you running right now, and what firmware are you trying to go to? The new 8.2.2 China stable?

If so, your bootloader should be unlocked...You can use the MiFlash tool, or go old school and use Fastboot Flash...I.e. Fastboot Flash Boot C:\somefolder\boot.img

Thakns for your answers.

I have redmi note 4 x20 (mediatek) device for one week, so I can say Im new on this.

I read (maybe is wrong) bootloader unlock is possible only on Chinese roms, is that right?

My actual rom MIUI Global 8.0.4.0 MBFMIDG (with some menus on chinese, lol).

Can you help me to find where I get details to move rom?

Thanks

You can use the SP flash tool (See en.miui.com for more info) and flash the chinese ROM, or unlock your bootloader (Send a request to Xiaomi, state you want to change firmware) and then you can flash a new recovery, and install custom Roms like EU Roms.

Good info is: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-redmi-note-4-unlock-bootloader-t3517806

Edit...Looks like there's a EU ROM out for 8.2.2...I flashed it, but I cannot get it to boot just yet...I've waited a good 25 minutes

I installed and got softbrick. Rom is corrupted, so don't flash it until they reload the ROM. I'm talking about ROM posted today at 3.58 PM.
It was so hard for me to rescue device, I had to flash developer ROM!

I've gotten myself in plenty of trouble over the years flashing and soft bricking phones...best advice is make a TWRP backup..Either use the SD card slot or get an OTG cable and use a thumbdrive...It will save you from plenty of headaches!

Guys, thanks very much for info.
Seems like they've removed it now. As I know you had to clear data when coming from 8.1 to 8.2, is that done?

Guys.

I have Muiu Global rom miui 8.0.4.0 (x20 mkt device) with bootloader locked.

how can I flash it? Using sp flash?

I believe a zip file is not an "fastboot" rom ritght?

Can someone provide procedure, I can try to test is this rom is ok

I'm a little disappointed with the firmware (Not any fault of EU)...It's quite laggy, and I honestly rather stay on 8.1.10 until it's resolved. Your experience may vary from mine, but I'm pretty disappointed.

There is literally a post like 8-9 posts up, on this thread, with this information.

I must say everything is doing okay upto now, felt no lags, performance is okay, let's see after a day or two about the battery..
Hope you wiped data and caches before installing this. You must do it.

That I did...I felt it in scrolling through apps like Instagram or Fenix for Twitter...

Why also wipe data? This is not a switch from miui 8 to miui 9, it's only a minor update and I think it's ok without wipe data... With official rom you never do wipe data and everything it's ok... And with EU developer I installed miui 8, 8.1 and 8.2 with dirty flash never wiping data and everything was ok...

With xiaomi.eu 8.2.2, what is different China and Global ROM?
Does xiaomi.eu ROM remove bloatware ?

Always too late by the time I read the forum, lol.

My install went swimmingly, got root via supersu no problem, removed all the 'rubbish' I always do on a new install, seemed fine at first. Issues I'm finding;
- a little laggy, but I haven't used it enough to confirm;
- considerable drop in mobile data signal (biggest issue);
- seems to be chewing the battery a little more (again, needs time to test).

I did not wipe data; only cache and davlik - seems to be different thoughts on this. If if it terrible over the next few days I'll do a wipe of all 3 and see if it improves things. Don't know that I want to go through the hassle of reverting to 8.1.10.0 again, but lets see.

Any thoughts on a better version of the ROM appreciated.

Cheers, R

Other things laggy for me.
