Xiaomi.eu Stable V8.5.2.0.naacned

8.5.2.0 China stable has been removed from the official MIUI downloads page... Only EU version is still available for this release

Yeah... They pulled back the update, after being official for several weeks... For the past months, I think Xiaomi has been really sloppy with the whole update topic. They don't state why they pulled back 8.5.2.0, as far as I can tell; does anyone know the reason?

I have installed this ROM and I was very happy about it, especially about the GPS side (which works much better than the official 8.2 update), until today, when I had the confirm that starting from 8.2 Xiaomi has messed up with the Bluetooth stack of the ROM. With official Global Stable 8.1.4.0, I'm able to keep my phone connected to my car flawlessly; with 8.5.2.0 from Xiaomi.eu (but I had the same issue with the official Global Stable 8.2.2.0, so I think the problem goes deep down into the MIUI kernel) I can't keep the phone profile and music streaming profile turned on at the same time. I need to disconnect the phone profile, otherwise the music plays for 20-25 seconds and then the Bluetooth connection drops (sometimes, causing even a reboot of my car entertainment system). I like very much the original spirit and hardware by Xiaomi, but being a Xiaomi fan is becoming harder and harder these days :-(

Yeah, probably it's a combination of something changed in the ROM and my car, but I didn't have this problem with 8.1.4.0. And my father, who has a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with the latest Dev Rom, is facing the same issue on a Volvo car. So I would say that they didn't completely brake the Bluetooth stack, but for sure they did something that some cars don't like very much.

You can try dev rom (I will cross finger for luck) and hope to will work.

GPS is still working like sh#t. It loses signal every 10 seconds, it is impossible to drive with it. So frustrated with this issue...

GPS work perfect in my case. How You install ROM? From version dev or stable, full clear or partial?

Im with Xiaomi.eu since the beginning. Installed the first Nougat ROM by clean update. It must be something about ROM, a lot of Mi6 users are reporting the same problem in their devices.

Chinese ROM was removed for some time and now added again, are there any news that EU ROM will be also refreshed ?

Is Google keyboard working properly for you guys?
Gesture trail is weird in mine. It is like flashing, it is going to cause a severe epilepsy to me.

Yeah, I have that problem also... Not a severe problem, but still a bit annoying...

Good morning, Malta! I'm crazy to try this rom. I have the 8.2.2.0. I'm even satisfied. Does it make sense to move to this one? Just one more question, just download the file and make the update or it has to be via twrp?

If You download file on phone storage, and have installed TWRP (in my case version is 3.1.1-0) simple power on phone an hold volume up and power button to enter in TWRP, then click on Install, select image and wait installation, then clear Dalvik and Cache, reboot phone and enjoy.

No need to doing full factory clear, all apps, data will be up after upgrade. Enjoy !!!

hey guys, i switched to LineageOS already at 8.1.1, cause i always had several problems with EU ROM ony my MI5,
for example random screen wakeups without anything happen on the phone, random starts of the music player app in idle,
and some days i also had mysterious huge battery consumption.
I dont wanna make advertisement, but I didnt notice those things on LOS so far..

What I'd like to know from this 8.5 ROM: (i read the changelog already, it didnt mention it)
did anyone had similar problems as described above before and did this update help solving it?
Does it finally have the nougat features like split screen and long-press icon shortcuts? quick-reply on messenger apps?

Xiaomi.eu ROM is the best option for my phone. This my personal opinion and if using another ROM don't need here advertise.

Hi all,
I've installed this xiaomi.eu stable version coming from official global stable 8.2.2 (clean install).
I've noticed that the icons in this ROM are smaller than the icons in the global stable.
Does anyone know of a way to increase icon size?
Thank you
Domenico.

Does anybody have problems with setting up the mail with exchange (Hotmail)? My Mi5 just FC's after setup.

Hotmail account works great for me. Same rom and same device (mi5) as you. Try clearing the email app data.
