I was looking forward to this release to see if the bug with the icons were fixed but unfortunately, it's still present. I think I have more info that could help you in replicating the bug.
After a clean install using the default theme, there is NO issue. Icons display properly. But after downloading a theme from the themes app, applying it and then switching back to default theme, the icons now appear broken.
Deleting the theme, clearing cache does not help, the issue persists.

EDIT: I just realized that themes do not get applied too. I tried different themes but it does not work and everything stays as default except for the icons, but they're broken like in the screenshots. BTW, my device is a Redmi Note 4 MTK (Nikel)

did you change DPI by yourself?

did you change DPI by yourself?

I did, but as I mentioned from the last release's thread, the issue persists in default DPI. I edited my previous post to add info about themes not applying as well. Just the icons apply, but broken. This is what it looks like when I apply a theme with circular icons.

It's like there's some sort of transparency/masking that is broken which results in that weird ugly border.

Have you tried clean flashing, not changing the DPI at all and changing the theme and seeing do the icons break? I have seen this happening and staying despite reverting to the default DPI. I wish Xiaomi would implement DPI changing with no problems to MIUI natively at some point..

Guyz how work:

Redmi Note 2 - hermes
Redmi 4 - Prada
MI4 - cancro
MI Max - Hydrogen?

Any issues?

Why not rom 7.12.14 for Redmi 3 - Ido?

I might give that a try later. But it's interesting because I never ran into any of these issues on MIUI 8 and MIUI 9 (7.11.9 weeky)

Redmi 4x: Chinese letters in gallery collage mode.

Mi Max Prime here. After upgrading the ROM, I got an error saying that Storage Space running out. Don't know how to fix it.
