Hi guys,

Please give me a help here because I can't seem to install any TWRP that works on my Mi Note 3.
The problem is the same, it doesn't answer to any touch on the screen.

I didn't Enable USB Debugging on the phone and now he is stuck on fastboot. Is there any way to enable it by command?

I was trying to follow the following steps (____://en.miui.com/a-234.html) but I didn't manage to finish flashing because it always gives a error of "no such file or directory"

Thanks for the help in advance.

You can always try to connect a mouse with a OTG cable.

I have some questions. I have instaled this twrp via fastboot and when i want to reboot in recovery then i go to default recovery not twrp. how to fix this? when I boot twrp recovery via fastboot then my touch screen dont working in it. what am i doing wrong. Also it apears that i get new phone already with unlock bootloader ( in fastboot "fastboot oem device-info" i get unlocked bootloader <true>).

if you are using stock rom, you can should flash lazy flasher, supersu or magisk root.

you must flash the appropriate twrp for the installed miui version.

- Twrp 3.2.1-0 Jason v2 ( 8.3.1 )
Download

Lazy flasher isn't needed.
All 3.2.x versions have touch fixed.

fastboot flash recovery twrp###.img (don't reboot system - it will restore stock recovery)
fastboot boot twrp###.img

Into twrp format data, reboot recovery, flash Magisk.zip(use pendrive or copy with pc), reboot system.
Boot into twrp - power off, vol+ and power.

- Twrp 3.2.1-0 Jason v2 ( 8.3.1 Beta - 9.5.3.0 Stable and After )

Thank you @Codered
The version above is the only working TWRP on my MI NOTE3.
After I tried 9 version from release page ,and note3 forum and many mod from chinese forum.
(mod for fully function, chinese mod ,chinese mod but show english version...
i think most of them didn’t solve the touchscreen problem at the initial warnning page.
i did wait for the kernel to work 15min for every try.)

and Thanks @ingbrzy for the Japanese translation for EU ROM, pretty convenient.

//my note3 : china stb version 9.5.8 → eu stb 9.5.10 on release page

Thanks for this! I am using this twrp.

Btw, i just noticed there are 3 versions of twrp here. How should I know which one is currently installed on my phone?
I forgot which one i downloaded and installed. xD
I am planning to update to v3 but don't know how to confirm if it is updated or not. Thanks.

It seems like you have to keep track of which version of TWRP is installed yourself.

I have this problem on several phones, and have not found a way to keep track of which TWRP is installed other than by my own bookkeeping.

@Codered can by any chance miui 8.6.24 be flashed thru twrp(ver4) for oreo, wanna revert back from miui10 8.7.5 to miui9 8.6.24
wanna restore from backup

Hello,
Does any of this TWRP versions works with latest Global ROM 9.6.2.0?
I think not. It's deleting TWRP after each reboot.

Hi,
to avoid replacing the TWRP by the stock recovery use the following commands in adb when installing TWRP:
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img - this is IMPORTANT

Thank you but the last comand is only booting the phone in TWRP, the same thing I am doing by pressing Power + Vol up buttons.
After entering in TWRP, all is fine, after rebooting the system, TWRP is gone.
Of course, normally I should install a ROM (from Xiaomi.eu) or root the phone to stop stock recovery in replacing TWRP.
Or do you have other ideas?
