Do you like this MIUI version?

I simply checked for new updates, downloaded and installed. Phone rebooed into recovery, did the dirty flash, and rebooted back to normal. I always do the update like that.
Honestly, not sure how I would go about editing build.prop. I'll download the update to a computer and look through the zip file.

But I still don't know what difference would that make. Does it control the security patch version I see in my settings? My phone already says the security patch is at 2020-01-01 although the company system sees it as 2019-11-01.

In how many places is this setting stored? :)
If you do it like this, I guess your phone is not rooted. You can check and change build.prop for example with kernel adiutor. There are two lines called ro.build.version.security_patch (for me with Mi 9 it's 2019-11-01) and ro.build.version.security_patch_real (2020-01-01). I tried to change it, but it changes back.

Yes, the same is happening to me.

I tried again with the updated TWRP (3.3.1-13), I couldn't.
Can someone help me ?
Uninstall magisk using uninstaller ZIP in twrp.
After do that reboot to recovery.

THEN install the rom zip again.

This work for me

It's been 37 days uptime since the last rom, new one flashed without issues on the Explorer, locks Good!

Hello,
Security patch date info is inside "build.prop" file in /System partition (and /Vendor partition too but don't need to modify this one).

Can you send a screenshot of "DRM Info" app? Need to check the fingerprint build info.

I'm not sure where is stored or how it verifies the security patch date..
But as someone state above there's two places where the security patch it's displayed, on settings "Security status" and "Password & security -> Privacy" and both don't match in the date of the patch. I had the same problem on my Mi 9...
So maybe that's why your company sees an older patch date

My company made a monthly cut today and all the phones with security patches older than 2019-12-01 were cut off from email.

With 20.2.20 I had 2020-01-01 shown on my Mi 9 yet it still got banned. IT support told me the system sees 2019-11-01 and that's why I was cut off. They also see Android 9 as OS, weirdly enough.

When I saw this new update, 80 minutes fresh, I immediately jumped and updated my phone! It does say v20.2.27 now, but the security patch is still 2020-01-01, although I've expected 2020-02-01, as changelog suggests.

Anyway, my phone still reports 2019-11-01 to the company servers and I'm effectively disconnected until something changes. Hoping for a new patch in a week or two that brings February or March patches :/

Still, thank you dev guys for pushing these updates to us at such a great pace! Your efforts are, as always, very highly appreciated!
Hi
Read explanation given here:
- not rooted you can modify the date via TWRP explorer.

I hope this version is not laggy like previous one , thanks to devs .

They are not very nice with your Lavender and you. You waited so long time this update!
They said weekly is beta , so some issue may arise.
Try stable version, it is much better for your needs.

I bought the RN7P because I wanted a Xiaomi phone with weekly updates due to my Poco only being on the stable channel. I've never had so few updates on a mobile phone. Even the Poco is running Android 10. As you say, if Android 10 isn't ready, at least provide patches. Xiaomi is a joke.
That's because it is the PRO version and XIAOMI China needs and take more time to polish the important release.

Hi! I have just installed the rom. Is it possible that the wifi download is a bit slow?
I'm using MI max 3 version.
Thanks

Mi 9 Pro 5G, dirty flash + wipe cache/dalv + root. Seems working as intended and no issue so far.

EDIT: Waaaaaahhh. The new slide animation is not there yet. My K20pro 12/512 has it... I want that. lol

Thanks.

I see you have the Mi 9 pro 5G. How good is the haptic feedback on it?

this update restored my vowifi connection, Turkcell / Turkish operator. In fact its better than before! you see i have 3 mi9 with 3 turkcell mobile line (whole family), before this update only 1 of them was working reliably, now 1 unworking works too, i havent tried others yet but im sure they will!

LAVENDER BUGS: Wi-Fi saved network dissappear on reboot. VPN APKs not working (not connection, port busy).

My device is Mi 9 and I already installed this updates. Everything works fine, but I can't find the VPN item from Settings directly. It only can be find from the "Search settings".
Is it normal?

Thanks

Redmi note 7 pro ( violet )
Neither android 10 nor security update is coming for almost 3 months. What kind of policy is this?
i think xiaomi forgot redmi note 7 pro or not counting device latest version 9.12.12

incredible but true
No one should call me coronavirus or holidays, or if you are not excused how to get to other devices, only redmi note 7 pro is delayed and not going out
mid-March or later. Now shut up and wait quietly.

Redmi Note 7 bugs:

  • Doesn't remember the saved wi-fi networks
  • randomly fails to recognize the PIN
I made a clean installation, bugs still exist
mine is connected on wifi since yesterday...
ok after reboot it actually lost password :(

Fix - Third-party dark mode adapted apps were globally reversed

Does it mean global dark mode is now stable?
Can someone confirm if global dark mode on third party app like facebook is now working properly?

note: i am not yet updated since my wifi is too slow now, cant download it right away
