This is not tru. :) You can do Everything what you wont with you phone. we still have a rootet phone right?. So I gonna repeat it again, i had the same problem in friday.I lost all day to fix it. What i Do:

1. download MiFlash tool https://www.xiaomiflash.com/download/ or here https://xiaomiflashtool.com/download/xiaomi-flash-tool-20191206 i download from second site its new version theare. After downoad you uznip the file and if no have folder "log" there you must create it.
2. download Global rom https://c.mi.com/thread-2129825-1-0.html Enter in fastboot mod
3. With MiFlash tool flash the global rom ok. But be careful put Clean all https://prnt.sc/rda8ot
4. after that restart your phone.enter in fastboot mod again, install TWR via platform tool
5. reboot enter in TWRP install Orange fox
6. I install previous version on eu rom xiaomi.eu_multi_HMNote7_20.1.21_v11-10
7. done

Everythong work again with no problems. :) So Let`s Flash :)
Thanks for the directions... I found that after installing the latest rom on lavender, it encrypted my data partition. I had done a nandroid backup of my boot, recovery, and data partition before flashing the rom, however....

Upon discovering that my data partition was encrypted, I installed TWRP 3.2.3-0121 for lavender from AFH. Then formatted data, rebooted recovery, and reinstalled the previous 20.1.21 rom, hoping to restore my data backup after rom install... After completing 1st boot, popped back into recovery to find it asking me for a pin to decrypt data. Went through this several times trying with different recoveries... LR TRWP 3.2.3-0121, LR TWRP 3.2.3-0217, ORANGEFOX 10.1.01, and ORANGEFOX 10.1. I found that I had the same problem with every recovery, seeing it ask for a pin to decrypt data after every 1st boot of every rom (non-20.3.5 roms). Only way to correct this problem was to follow above steps provided with one exception. I found that the above listed Xiaomi flash tool didn't work for me (object exemption error in windows) and I had to drop back to 20201111. I'm now back on 20.1.21, w/ orangefox 10.1.01 and everything is normal.

I suspect that xiaomi changed something in one of the more "static" partitions that aren't normally changed during a standard rom upgrade (like for example, the persist partition) as the problem followed me from recovery to recovery even after formatting data and wiping all other partitions.

Thank you for the guide to help me get my phone running properly again.

I can not make any call by FB Messenger anymore on my Violet, calls are always ended immediately after I touch the pickup button.

Good evening. I have a Xiaomi Mi9 and tried to install the EEA rom by the MiFlash program and it always gives this error ifaa :( I have tried other versions of MiFlash and the error continues. I have also installed the rom via the adb / fastboot program manually and the ifaa error also appears. Rom problem? The drivers? What is the problem and how to solve it? Thanks

The factory Flash ID is not edited via MiFlash, you are only informed that it has flown off. The system is installed and running, you can see the internal storage of your smartphone through your PC - do not get stuck. But if you really want to... You need to find the correct ifaa.img for your model and stick it through adb

You are allowed to flash this rom EEA only on a GLOBAL MI9 and not a chinese or india model.

After updating to 20.3.5, my data was encrypted, then i clean installed 20.3.5 and Magisk and after setting everything up and going back to Orange Fox Recovery it said it is encrypted again and the problem is, i cant decrypt it in any way, my PIN doesnt work
Do this method:
1. Download a stock rom of your device
2. Flash it via miflash tool (don't forget to tick "clean all" at the bottom part before you hit flash in Miflash tool process)
3. Reboot to system and register your device again
4. Flash TWRP for Lavender via flatform tool then afterwards flash the latest Ofox recovery.
5. Install the the version of the last rom you use. (eg 20.1.21)
6. Reboot to recovery, find the backup you want to restore.
7. At the final process of restoring, tap forget password afterwards tap clear caches then reboot to system
9. And voila! You're happy again.

I had the same problem.
I went back to the previous release and it was ok again.
I even made a test to try the new version again, because I want sure if I really wiped the cache at my first try. But again it got laggy.
I went back again to the previous release and again everything is ok.

I can relate to you mate. Since Friday my Lavender had messed up, Sleepless night and sacrifices the calls from my loved ones inorder to fix this f*king Recovery bug. Big thanks @nikakvo i already solved the problem. Good luck mate! LOL!

K20 Pro users, how stable is this version for daily use? I used the version with alpha gestures before it was fixed for some time, but considering it was buggy I switched to stable 11.0.5.

Sadly the stable version hasn't been updated for some time and the security patch is from November 2019, so I'm just wondering if I should switch to weekly again.
