Dear Xiaomi Team,

whilst I am Happy that you released a new MIUI Version overnight which, according to the What's new, fixed some Notification shade problem I was disapointed that you left the Mi Mix 2 on a Security Patch Level from 2019-09-01

That means we have been missing out on 6 months of security Updates including the newest one dated 2020-03-05.

Can you please explain to your loyal Fan- and Userbase why you are abandoning a previous Flagship Phone?

Hello,

Don't know if Xiaomi devs read this community forum about custom MIUI ROMs... But nice try! :D

Dear all,

So that will probably be nothing more with the updates, a 2.5 year old mobile phone is probably no longer to keep up-to-date. You can see why the mobile phones are cheap. Chinese save on everything. In short, I'm out.
As an appendix, Xiaomi's answer to the update question:

You are on stock rom.
Move to EU rom and get updated.

At the moment I'm on Miui 11.2 by xiaomi.eu 20.1.16 this on are with sequrity update Sep. 2019.
Firmware 20.3.19 are still with sequrity update Sep. 19 (I'd ask in the thread), if the newest 20.3.26 with a newer one, I don't know, nobody answered my question in the thread.
Do the firmware got an update?

Hi, i'm not a techo specialist, bit as far as i know, the ROMs of xiaomi.eu have security patch updated, but for compatibility for security reasons, the ROMs show a date that is not real. If they put the real date, and that date diffeers from the official miui ROM, this ROMs from Xiaomi.eu Will fails the safetynet check tests...
Excuse mu english. Im from Spain. I Hope have help you.
Bye

I'm a proud Mi Mix 2 owner and user too, and it would be nic to know if the above statement is accurate. Can someone verify this and put my mind to ease?

"My device" > "All specs" menu in phone's settings gives the real Android patch date info on xiaomi.eu ROMs. That's all you need to know. ^^

:)

It's the official ROM available here in Europe.

I know better than to post a question asking about custom ROMs in an official Forum.

But there seems to be hope, the Mi Mix 2 is scheduled for MIUI 12 (will add a new Thread for that)
