Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro TWRP 3.4.2b 2020.12.06 from LR.Team

Hi guys, I have a "MI10T PRO 5G", which twrp works better with my phone? I've tried the latest "whyle" twrp but after the wipe mtp doesn't work and i can't mount data. Is there any LR team twrp for my model? thank you for your help.

Does anyone has tips
what to do when system cannot be read to install anything? Its ERROR - system cannot be mounted.
Flashing itself to the latest version 1206 worked. But Miui Center clock.zip doesn't.

Use Magisk and create a simple Magisk module. What's your current ROM version?

Hi,

I was on TWRP "recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-0623-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150" and I just flashed recovery-TWRP-3.4.2B-1206-XIAOMI10-CN-wzsx150. It was pretty hard, my phone was bricked (only fastboot access) but I success to install TWRP 12.06

But ... I cannot install Project 404 ROM.

I got these errors :

Failed to mount '/vendor' (invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/odm' (invalid argument)

Any hints ?

Could be so kind and explain the steps that put you in trouble as well how you managed to solve it?
Thank you.

Yes sure

1) Downloaded the twrp 12.06
2) Reboot in fastboot mode
3) Flash by fastboot command
==> previous TWRP (0623) was erased but I could load my actual ROM./

4) Tried to flash again with the same method, still not works
5) Tried to install back TWRP 0623
==> Stuck in fastboot !

After hours of research ...

6) Installing last version of "XiaomiTool2" to unbrick my phone.

==> Error : flashing vbmeta doesn't works.

7) Plug the phone in the back of my PC with the official MI 10 (umi) cable
8) Downloaded the last "platform-tools" (adb and fastboot) and trying to install TWRP 12.06 with fastboot command again.

==> Success. Can boot into TWRP 12.06

9) Cannot mount the internal storage (got 0 Mo !). I "advanced wipe" to change the system partition to EXT 2 and, after that, to EXT 4. It worked.

10) Trying to install a ROM (project 404) Got these errors :

Failed to mount '/vendor' (invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/odm' (invalid argument)

11) Aaaand my current status : tried to flash "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10_V12.2.7.0.RJBCNXM_v12-11". I thought it was working but my phone is AGAIN blocked in fastboot with no access to TWRP.

I'm becoming crazy, step by step.

Over the past several weeks there has been an issue between the Mi 10 (umi) weekly ROM and later TWRPs. The latest ROMs have had TWRP 3.4.0 included with them. This is based on an earlier TWRP that is stable, but does not include decryption. You can upgrade ROMs through USB-OTG with this TWRP.

If you want to have decryption then you should only boot into either TWRPs 0623 or 1206 (not flash) through Fastboot. You cannot use passwords, only patterns. There are also frequently delays in loading from Fastboot flash and also delays in inputting your pattern.

[Edit: you will need to flash TWRP 3.4.0 if you have not already installed it.
This should be the link for the TWRP 3.4.0]

You mean couldn't boot to system? From recovery? Never tried powering off the phone and booting from that state?
Methinks that your problem was born in step three. You didn't have to do that as 0623 is completely functional. What you should've done is flash the desired ROM package directly from there. However, as 404 requires 12.2.2 base, you had to flash that first, then boot to fastboot, and from there boot to 1206 TWRP which would let you flash the 404.
Now, you've messed up the boot.img and the kernel.

Hi,

At the step 3, I could boot the rom without a problem (Xiaomi.eu stable previously installed). But I couldn't boot TWRP at all.

I install this TWRP :

You will need to download / have available the TWRP 3.4.0 - from here (TWRP 3.4.0) in your computer folder with fastboot.exe file.
Connect your computer to your phone (which is in Fastboot mode), and from your computer, issue the command:
fastboot flash recovery [TWRP-3.4.0-umi.img]
Then
fastboot reboot

This should return you back to your phone.

It worked. I'm in TWRP but when I flash the Xiaomi.eu last rom available, everything seems to be ok ... but when I reboot, I'm going back to TWRP :-/ the ROM doesn't load ...

Any idea, master ? :)

Ok, I fixed it.

If someone is doing the same thing like me :

In TWRP of my previous post, in the bottom left tiles, you have a option in the (short) list which fix the boot. I don't remember the exact text, but if you touch the option, you can read a short description of the action.

After that, I flashed "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10_V12.2.7.0.RJBCNXM_v12-11 " and wiped dalvik cache.

Now, my phone boot !

You mean in 3.4.0? Because in 3.4.2.0623 I couldn't find that option.

By the way, looking for this option I noticed that my 3.4.2.0623 successfully decrypted partitions when I used screen unlock PIN that I've set up on my phone.
It's been a while since I flashed the 12.0.8 stable, but as far as I remember, it didn't work at the time and I had to delete all screen unlock - fingerprint and the PIN code.
Strange.....

Yes, 3.4.0

And yes, that's why I wanted to upgrade twrp0623 to twrp1206. It can decrypt now :)

True, but you can boot to 1206 only via fastboot. It can't be flashed over 3.4.0.
Could you post a screenshot of the 3.4.0 with that "fix boot" option?

0623 doesn't have it. Thank you for the tip.

TWRP 3.4.0 and 3.4.2b both have the 'Fix Contexts' :

While we're at it - 3.4.0 can't decrypt data, ok.
But, can it perform format data?
