[GUIDE][cas] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi MI10 Ultra

OK, so I'm on the 12.0 rom and I want to roll back to stock, I received the phone with the EU rom and I'm not that tech savvy so... can you guys assist me on this. Is it even possible to roll back to stock with full functionality and everything, because from what I've read on the net, once you root your phone with a custom rom, you can't roll back to stock.

Hi Lads,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your excellent work! (Wasn't sure where to post it.)

Using a Mi 10 Ultra with the weekly now 12.6 and I don't know why I did not switch from Chinese to EU earlier.

Cheers!

Where (what site) can I find the weekly updates? Is the process for updating to these the same as updating for EU rom versions (eg. Download rom, twrp, install, wipe cache, reboot)? I am currently running the latest stable 12.5.1.

I'd like to try it again but after my last experience where I couldn't use gestures (I don't think I could bring myself to use the nav buttons again, it feels so outdated compared to full screen gestures) and a bunch of apps were crashing constantly I'm scared to try again.
I can't help as I prefer to use buttons, so can't help test, sorry old school but the ROM is great.

Hi guys, this is my first message here so first I want to thank the community for its great work on this ROM :)

However, I have installed the 12.5.1 Stable version of this ROM and since then it feels like the notification drawer and the control center is really sluggish, there's almost a 2 seconds delay between my swipe from the top of the screen and the control center actually showing up. I've tried disabling the animations in the developper options but it didn't help. Can you guys help on this ?

Hey guys,
arrived yesterday mi 10 ultra transparent. it is unlocked and it has EU 12.5.1.
I noticed wireless charging (using originale xiaomi 55w) it does not charge over 19w.( I have usb tester to verify this). While my 11 pro reaches 50w, as expected.
Today, mi 10 ultra wireless charge simply does not start. (today I also replaced the front display protection film and I added a protection film on the back)
Do I have to worry about some hardware problem? Can be EU rom bug? Or can be (very very strange) the back protection film I put today?
Anyway yesterday, when its speed was only 19w did not have any film protection on the back.

Incredible. Wireless charge works (at 20w maximum) only if mi 10 ultra has the phisical back cover...what kind of behaviour is this ??

I have a problem. From 12.5.1 eu stable i'm trying to install the weekly update. But after the flash it returns to the twrp and I Have to reflash the 12.5.1 eu stable to access to the system again.
Off course after weekly flash i tried to wipe dalvik and cache. To not wipe. To wipe data. But the result is always it returns to twrp...
And when I wipe data too I obtain what you see in the screenshot below:

Formatting data is required (= "Format Data" button in "Wipe" menu of TWRP) if your system doesn't boot after flashing a Weekly ROM, coming from a Stable ROM. ;)

@Poney70
Thank you mate.
also if I format the data too, it reboots again into twrp and It "destroy" everything, infact this is what I get:

When you format the data , you should lose everything inside /sdcard folder. ^^

After formatting data, go in "Reboot" menu in TWRP then select "Recovery". Reflash your ROM in TWRP and reboot your device. :)

Have you flashed the latest TWRP I gave or not?

3.4.2B-1208

in the meantime I just reflash stable eu 12.5.1 and system reboot correctly. Now I stop and I will try to follow your advice, if u have time :)

Oh, sorry, I mixed two threads... ^^

After flashing a Weekly ROM, you may also try "Format Data" multiple times, by example => "Format Data" => Reboot to Recovery => "Format Data" => Reboot to Recovery => "Format Data" then reboot your device.

I don't have any other advice to give...

:)

great man!!!
your last suggestion made the difference! THANK YOU !

from now on:
1) for each new weekly it's enough to flash it by twrp and after that clean cache+dalvik and reboot to system. Correct?
2) While if I want to come back to stable I can use the same procedur I used now. correct?
3) if I want to rever to CN ?
4) what about my wireless charging "problem" ? Using xiaomi 55w original. (works perfectly with 11 Pro I have with me). While with Mi 10 ultra it has a maximum of 20w and, very very strange, wireless charger, does not turn on unless mi 10 ultra has its plastic backcover....

Coo! :)

1) Yes, exactly.
2) Yes, format data. ^^
3) Same as 2)
4) I don't know, I never had a device compatible with a wireless charger yet. ;)

Hi everyone !

Wow just read the 36 pages so i would have to ask stupid and repetitive questions ... So yes i know that if i don't boot correctly it will probably be a format data question most of the time. Haha

Anyway, first of all i wanted to come by and thank every person involved into this work ! (Mark F and Poney70 too, who helped many people since first post, and brought good reading material !)

I wanted the Mi 10 Ultra Transparent so bad, but was afraid the band won't work correctly in France, lost in some kind of countryside... well it works better than my old S8+ !
You guys confirmed too that the bankings apps would work so i ordered it !

Actually it's running a Chinese ROM MIUI 12.0.15 Stable, which asks for update but didn't even tried to make it as i was afraid not being able to change to EU after ( but now i remember someone here couldn't upgrade because the update wants us to actually be located in China) .....
Anyway...

The countdown is running, and i will be able to unlock on Monday.
I think i have read enough here + 2 videos to be prepared but ... 2 things just got me confused in the end and i wanted to ask and get confirmation.

In the guide Mark wrote : " There are several ways to flash your phone, if it is a brand new model, then there may only be Fastboot ROMs available, this may well be the case on Xiaomi.EU so I will explain this first."

"if it is a brand new model, then there may only be Fastboot ROMs available" what does that mean ? The guide is a universal one ? Or talking about the most recents Mi 10 Ultra produced ?

Because if i am correct, Mark wrote many times in here that the fastboot way was the old way for Mi10 Ultra, and whatever the ROM we are running it's TRWP way ? Am I wright ?

He also wrote on Apr 10, page 34 to answer Notko : "Only if you are still on stock Chinese "

So finally here is my question (Sorry if i wrote a lot) :

Coming from the Chinese ROM, i can directly go the TRWP way to get EU ROM or do i need to go to EU ROM via fastboot, like page 1 in order to get TRWP and update ?

Best Regards

(Sorry if English is not 100% perfect)

Yes, is the answer. Download TWRP from the link on the forums ROM download page. Download your ROM, stable or weekly and if it's weekly, I would go back one rather than the very latest so may be 21st April. Copy ROM to phone. Connect phone to pc, install TWRP, using command prompt, boot phone straight to TWRP. Install ROM using TWRP, I once done format data using wipe menu, format, confirming yes to format. Then reboot system. It will take a while in reboot but as long as you see 5G and miui, it's all good.
But if you have any Questions, please ask. I'm sure I updated Android 11 TWRP password issues in my guide if you redownload it.

Thank you ! I will try to find the TWRP that calls it MI 10 Ultra and go for it on Monday ! Can't wait to really discover this new phone !
Thanks again !!

Both TWRP versions are ok, one just named it right. Use the download link on this forums download page to get to it or go to http://mifirm.net and download it from there.

Hello there !
Just a little post to say it's done ! Thanks for every page in this topic and you Mark for always answer !
Everything went perfect ! Just a little moment of panic in TWRP, when i couldn't get the zip rom to the internal storage, tried everything (change pc, format data again, otg, adb nothing worked, the computer recognized the phone with 5 internal storage and the corrupted 0mb zip rom) ... then decided to power off the phone... reboot on TWRP and voilà copied the zip, flashed it now it's in French, and it's perfect ! It's been a pleasure this last 2 days to enjoy fully the phone.

Thanks again guys !

Hello please for help
Today I installed xiaomi.eu_multi_MI10Ultra_V12.5.1.0.RJJCNXM_v12-11 Stable version via TWRP

I deactivated the PIN for the screen before the update (as described in the instructions)

how can i reactivate it? at the moment it is not possible with the setting ....

What I have done wrong?

Although I use the weekly beta version, I see nothing that would stop you. I use pattern for screen lock since twrp issues with A11 but have set up password since to test and all was good.
Can show what the issue is? Here is mine in the screenshots attached. You can see that I don't have a problem setting it.
