Hi All,

I have recently got Mi11Ultra by mistake with a (CN/EN ROM). Since I am based in Europe, I wish to flash this device to a Stable EU ROM / Official EU ROM.
  1. How to do it?
  2. Is Unlocking the bootloader mandatory for this? Is there anyway this can be done without Unlocking the bootloader.
  3. I have tried to Unlock the bootloader but getting a Wait 168 Hrs Message only for 3 times now. Tried a few ways to somehow do it with no further waiting, but no success.
Any reference or pointer will be greatly helpful.
Many thanks in advance!

Best regards,

This forum is about xiaomi.eu ROM, which is an unofficial Version of MIUI, not about Official Global/EEA ROM.
You can install the official Global ROM on an CN device, but you will loose Safetynet, which is required for a lot of apps(banking etc.)
In your case it's better to install xiaomi.eu ROM, which is based on the newest China ROM, but includes all languages, Google services, Safetynet, Netflix etc.

For Global and Xiaomi.eu you need an unlocked bootloader, so you need to wait 168 hours.

Thanks for your response! It is certainly helpful. Will wait again for another 168 Hrs and try an unlock.

There is absolutely no way around the waiting period. 168 hours is one week, so just be patient and wait a week. For these directions to unlock https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html.
After you have unlocked the bootloader, you can flash a rom. This is Xiaomi's method for flashing official stock roms. https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=1
This is the information for flashing a Xiaomi.eu rom: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads...iaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-mi11-pro-ultra.59486/
Follow these step by step and you will be fine, but do not try to flash anything with a locked bootloader. It won't work.

Thanks for all your advice! I waited patiently until 168 Hours and now its unlocked. Key thing is once you get this 168 hour notice, no settings me updated regarding mi account on the phone. No reset either and certainly not trying to add the same or any other mi account to this device.
Thanks!
