First I know the "Sync messages" and activation service is a MIUI implementation and this forum is referring to a custom ROM made by a community, but I'm trying to get help here because the team and members is more community friendly than on the official one.

The main question is:
It is possible to identify to what number the SIM activation service is trying to send a verification SMS?

Additional question:
Is the phone number dynamically changed/generated?

Actually the situation in my case is most probably caused by the mobile operator (DigiMobil - RO 226 05) because on the SIM from this operator the "Sync messages" service cannot be activated. I filed a ticket on the operator but they requested the phone number to which the application is trying to send SMS in order to unblock the messaging service. They told me on the phone that they have a list with patterns of phone numbers used to block SMS services in order to avoid overcharging.
I'm able to activate the SMS Sync messages using another SIM card from another Romanian mobile operator (Vodafone - RO 226 01)

I tried to identify from adb logs what phone number is used by/around "com.xiaomi.simactivate.service" but without success. (I uploaded an archive with 2 log files)

Many thanks! :)

I have the same issue on 12S Ultra. I receive SMS messages from account.xiaomi.com and my phone number is verified, yet Xiaomi SIM activation service keeps throwing notifications.

I came with an update to my first post.
Seems the number used for sending verification SMS in my case is: "+40371700668" (cost for 1 SMS = 0.01 eu)

If I'm sending manually a SMS to that number using my subscribed provider (DigiMobil) I do not receive "Received" status.
But, if I'm using a prepaid SIM card from another provider (aka Vodafone RO) I receive that status and the Sync service is enabled for this second SIM.

As a conclusion, in my case seems to be an issue caused by used mobile provider.

where did u found this number?
im from germany provider o2 , have the same problem , but 2 month ago it worked

I got it from my mobile carrier provider. I have the possibility to download from my personal account a detailed report of all calls and messages for last 12 months. I downloaded one and I looked for SMS numbers used in the past. Obviously I noted previously when I tried to get in sync, so I looked on the report for those dates and times.

CIs there any way to handle this problem? I'm also having the same error, on EU rom, it's so boring
