Yes and No are swapped here. If you press Yes, it will use precise location, if No, it keeps using approximate location.

Why are you calling out the big guy

for #1 did you try setting ringtone through themes app?

for #2 did you clear updater cache?
Yup, I am not able to get into the updater but the ringtone issue still exists.

1. I don't have that issue.
2. Try clearing app data for Updater app. If it doesn't help, attach a log so that the Updater app dev could look at it.
Thanks for the quick response @Igor Eisberg - so I am now able to get into the updater but still can't work the ringtone setting. I also tried installing the fix from here but it shot an error and took more than 15 minutes to boot after but it didn't work. Is there any solution to that or is Zedge the only way around?

Custom ringtones are working fine on the Poco F3 through the Settings -> Sound & Touch -> Ringtone -> All Ringtones (Tap the actual word, or it will play your currently selected custom ringtone) -> Choose local ringtones -> Sounds (It will ask for file permissions) -> My Sounds -> Hit the + icon -> Select your custom ringtone using the Files app and then select it and save.

What I don't see is a way to remove them from the My Sounds list after you've added one, but that's not really a big deal unless you're removing files from your storage that you previously used. I'd imagine clearing the Sounds app likely would solve that.

Edit: Confirmed -- clearing the Sounds app data will remove the list of previously used ones, but without clearing the Settings app data you will still see your last used one under Settings -> Sound & Touch -> Ringtone (All Ringtones), and in my case it will continue to work. I didn't try deleting the file from the phone to see if it would remove the name from settings because I used a file I want to keep, but at least this confirms custom ringtones work as intended on the F3 (and I've tried it on two different devices now). So this is something either device specific to your Venus, or you're missing one of the steps I listed above.

That's exactly how it is supposed to work but this method just won't work on my Mi 11 Venus. The only way I can set a custom ringtone and it works is through the Zedge app. I read that this isn't a huge bug, it's just some permission issues but how to correct these permissions? lol

simple goto settings > sounds & touch > ringtone > all ringtones > tap and hold on the tones you wanna delete, select all that you wanna remove and hit delete. This will delete the ringtones only from the list but not from your phone memory

Let me know if that helps :)

Check your Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Sounds, but there may not be a permissions menu in there because its a system app. I did notice mine has an update installed from the google play store installed all the way back in 2022/10/13. App version: 3.0(472386834) com.google.android.soundpicker. If you have an update installed too you could try uninstalling the update in that same menu. If not then it wouldn't hurt to try this version either from the playstore or apkmirror. Worst case you can just uninstall the update again and get back to where you were from the Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps menu.

Hello guys, I hope everyone is okay. I would like to ask a question regarding TWRP. I formatted the data to decrypt It and I have installed TWRP permanently. When the update comes out here, I download it and I'm going to install it using TWRP, but the data is encrypted again and then I need to format data all again. Data is getting encrypted even though I've already done and installed TWRP permanently. This is normal? Is there anything I can do to prevent the data from being re-encrypted? Thank you in advanced

Data is supposed to be encrypted, nothing unusual about that...

What do you mean by encryption? Is the password asked when entering twrp?

Now interestingly that doesn't work for me on this build, I tried that before I posted the edit. Haha. Going to uninstall the Sounds update and try it again.

Edit: After removing the Sounds update from Google Play, I'm still unable to clear the Custom ringtones list without clearing Sounds data. (Alioth)

Edit 2: The system app and the update were identical versions, I just had it on both /system and /data presumably from dirty flashing. After removing the update and clearing the app data it still behaves as above. So to get rid of the ringtones I added to try, I just cleared the Sounds app data again, but setting and using custom ringtones still seems to work fine.

No password is asked when I'm entering TWRP... I can't apply the update because the data got encrypted again and I have to format data to allow me to install the update.... it's annoying because I have to reinstall all my apps, my backups etc. like a clean install. I just want to do a dirty install. Should twrp prevent date of not reencrypted ?

My English is not good...

Things 2 know
1) my TWRP is installed permanently
2) Data is getting encrypted when I leave twrp
3) I can't apply update or install anything using twrp coz data got encrypted and I have to format data again and again and all update

Which TWRP version?
Try turning off your pin lock in MIUI and check if you can see your partitions in recovery after that.

You can download the correct twrp for your device from here

I am just lost at this point, so I already downgraded and performed a clean install of the stable Rom and it's working perfectly

I might give weekly rom another try after a few months but for now, it ain't working for me!

Likely due to the Chinese rom base. As a workaround you can use an SMS/MMS app that supports RCS such as Google Messages.
The next dev update should be sometime next weekend.

Hi bro, I see you have too many problems with your device, I have exactly the same, I use it daily (it's my main phone and I'm a delivery guy for Rappi, Uber eats, Didi food and others) so I use it more than 15 hours a day.

Send me a private message or some form of contact to try to replicate your errors, get the log and escalate.

Or help you to find alternative solutions, best regards

Everything working well on my alioth. Battery performance is a lot better than the original MIUI for POCO ROM that I come from.

Super happy with the release. Thanks
First bug spotted : my carrier doesn't support 5G but the network icon shows 5G signal. Not s big deal, though

You must contact your carrier network support.
Everything that read from your complains seems to be from T-Mobile US side.
If your carrier support VoWiFi and SMS/MMS over LTE/WiFi things like APNs should be settled (internet, IMS and Xcap). Some technical inputs from carrier, provisioning and network knowledge are mandatory. Don't push Xiaomi.eu to fix what they didn't changed.
I'm currently using Poco F3 also and none of your reported issues.

Likely not a bug -- My MVNO doesn't have 5G speeds either, but you can use their parent company's network at 5G signaling, just at 4G LTE speeds (aka they throttle it unless you pay more).

wy i dont have app widget?
sample, i have a weather widget, and only the MIUI weather widget i can do to homescreen.
no widgets from other apps i see. only miui widget avaible =???

Hello everyone!
I'm aware and I know that I've already asked this question but never had a concrete answer.
On 12T Pro (Diting) there's this camera problem in weekly that I really want to know what exactly isn't working.
Is it the 200mp?
Does it do other resolutions?
Does the 8mp/2mp macro work?
Does other camera app work?
Thank you very much for any answers.
All the best for the Devs
