Official international MIUI version for Mi 8 SE

I regularly check official ( China) MIUI site for firmware downloads. To my surprise I found the international version for Mi 8 SE and even bigger surprise it shows to be xiaomi.eu rom. Questions to official member: Is xiaomi.eu now the official MIUI rom...

    Is Anti-rollback protection on xiaomi.eu?

It's not Xiaomi to blame but Google to my understanding. It's for security reasons. However it's possible to bypass this ARB protection. I wouldn't be surprised if Xiaomi decide to block bootloader forever and sell two versions of same phone. Chinese and international.

    MI 8/MI 8 SE with xiaomi.eu ROM

What is wrong with xiaomi.eu rom? It certainly will at some point, once the sale droppes in China I believe. Thing is that Xiaomi wants to sell it's services and apps too, in order to compensate the low phone price. That is not possible outside China. This is only my speculation and might be...

    MI 8/MI 8 SE with xiaomi.eu ROM

To me it won't make any difference to this custom xiaomi.eu room as bootloader has to be unlocked anyway.

    new Mi 8 SE

It's quite interesting that is possible have custom rom on stock recovery. Check "fastboot oem device-info" in fastboot mode. If unlocked flash TWRP for your phone and upgrade to latest xiaomi.eu rom

8.8.9 (MIUI10) on locked bootloader Stable Global (MIUI 9.5.13)

I'm sorry to hear that hmm. I like Xioami phones but all these restrictions to switch between firmware makes me really angry and feel with so many people having trouble using their phones. I really hope you will solve your problem with new firmware update. Otherwise there are some guides on MIUI...

    can't unlock bootloader

No need everything seems to be right. Did you eventually relocked your bootloader by reflashing firmware? Have you tried "fastboot oem device-info" in fastboot mode to check lock status? I am almost out of ideas what could be wrong. I do remember the same error I had when I disabled the windows...

    can't unlock bootloader

Looks good but I have to ask stupid questions. Do you put phone in fastboot mode? Have you bind your phone to your Mi account? Do you login on your account in both phone and Mi unlock tool? Try to install latest mi flash tool as it will install xiaomi driver for you. When you plug phone to...
