No, it's not the same hardware. The N4 can not supply power to USB devices, and can not detect OTG-cables like Mi2 can, see this page: http://www.androidcentral.com/android-advanced-usb-otg-nexus-4 Tell me how to enable vbus power and I'll try to get it working :)

In real life it would give you four times more battery life in deep sleep. I'm sure that your measurements are wrong and incorrect
