Mi9T Pro aka K20 Pro, constantly polls the proximity sensor when the screen is unlocked in any menu/app - this heats up the top of the phone and leads to high battery consumption. Revealed by a clear IR camera from 1+ phone.
The problem appeared a long time ago and I could not understand the reason.
Please add a setting to the menu to disable it, or use it only for calls.
As I understand, the problem is not at the level of your modification, please inform the Chinese developers.

We don't have source codes for MIUI, so we can't fix everything.
