Please someone explain me something...
Only with unlocked bootloader can i have root and twrp right??? I have twrp, tho i cant install rom, but using fastboot i get a locked bootloader, right???

Just flash rom, Hermes , somehow is deleted mi notify apk, its a bug or
will see if its better for my notification ☺ after few hours, but modem is p51, and nobody cares abaut miui sistem kills app, so
only i can wait miui8 and hope that one developers made ok

Does it have ROOT option again? I flashed a Hermes version this morning and it was disappeared so I've gone back to 6.5.19 and root option is appeared.

uhm what kind of bugs did you find on latte?
to me only the searchbar crash and the bad ram management, both are old bugs.

Thank you, finished downloaded and installed rom for Redmi 3, but there are a few problem :

I can't find option prefered LTE in preferred network type , I can change in the phone information but it revert back to 3G only.
Can anybody give me a clue to fix that problem ?

I can't see theme in the theme menu, the message is can't load themes

I was just thinking about that... the phone came yesterday.. came with Android 4.4. With MIUI 7.0 Stable 7.00.55.00.
I was tried to install developer ROM from MIUI Global and get the same error

Maybe I was in your case when I got my new Mi4 a week ago. My method may work for you too:
1. Install TWRP. (I use Fastboot Install Method, other methods should work too)
2. Boot to Recovery, Wipe everything (but I think you can leave Internal Storage unchecked)
3. Select Reboot to Recovery
4. Install ROM, wipe davik, cache, Select Reboot to Recovery again
5. Install SuperSU, wipe davik, cache, Reboot to System

No Error 7 anymore. I don't understand much but that works. Hope this works for you too

About ROOT:
Xiaomi removed ROOT from all devices (except Mi2) and blocked it in kernel... Install SuperSU manually in TWRP if you still need a root and knows what you are doing...!

"If you know what you're doing..." that sounds scary. What kind of expertise is needed besides downloading SuperSU, starting TWRP and selecting the downloaded package?

And wherefrom do I download the appropriate Supersu package?

There is one on Play Store, can I use that? Probably not, because my hermes needs to be rooted first, and I don't know how to do that. I guess the rooting procedure is part of the SuperSU flash packet, right?

I would suggest to point those users that are accustomed to the built-in root of previous weeklies, and never had to deal with SuperSU before, to a step-by-step guidance, if one exists somewhere. Or post one here.
