As i said previously "I got this message when i was trying to update from 6.6.23 to 6.7.11. If i remember well, i think the problem is between the mi account and the phone. Verify through pc if on ur mi account u don't have the same phone twice...if it's you'll need to remove those 2 copies (don't worry about the backup, remove phone copies doesn't affect it) and go to backup on settings and choose factory reset and reboot the phone and log in with ur mi account...for me this step resolve the sync issue (SMS and calls history) between mi5 and xiaomi servers"

How's the battery life on this rom? I want miui8, Im still on 7 with very good battery life.

Screen rotation not working on Mi5. I am sure that the right option in the settings menu is activated, but no app is rotating.

Thanks, anyway I solved it giving right permissions to MiCloud (without a factory reset).
I'm getting a huge battery drain at night with this version. 13-14% in 6 hours. Doze mode is not working. Any help?

Doze is disabled on MIUI since it has advanced Permission Manager....Try with Autostart Permissions and Battery settings

I got 12% on mi4c with device OFF, so I guess Yours is not to be called a drain
Seriously, this miui8 rom is great as Ferrari, but also comes with the price... its not a fuel saver (battery).
Unfortunately I expect at least a day (14 hours with 4 hours of SOT) from smartphone. Mi4c had that with miui 7 and all systems ON. Now I disabled 90% of them and I loose juice in early afternoon...

I'm trying now to enable Doze from adb console, and I saw that ABSOLUTELY ALL the apps from the user are whitelisted. Doze IS working, but all the apps are excepted from coming to idle.
I'm going to change that. If I'm correct, this thing with Doze mode is going to be a beast.

A friend of mine, who has a Redmi Note 2 Prime like me, hasn't received OTA since the beginning of February, the last update he installed, was one who I installed on his phone when they changed the recovery to TWRP.Aparently you didn't visit this forum in the last 2-3 months. It's black on white: OTA will not be uploaded weekly. In fact.. It doesn't matter if it's OTA or manual download, because you will receive the FULL ROM.
So, if you are waiting for ota... you can wait.. nothing will come to you. Better visit more often, keep up with news.. and better search than ask 2-3 times same question.

If I don't like something about Xiaomi.eu Roms is that there is no more OTAS and even in the opening it says that OTAS are uploaded weekly, it has been half a year without updates.
P.D. I update my phone manually weekly, so I am not directly affected by this issue

- OTA for cancro / virgo / REDMI 2 is too risky after Android base change.. so we decided to save users from bricked devices caused by OTA update... they have to update manually to have it under control...

Read main post carefully, especially part about translation. Your device is also known as Hm3s.
No Hungarian translation for now.
There is rom for your device under device name Land, rom for device have name Hm3shm3x. So you still can flash new miui8 and use in english etc.

Themes app doesn't want to play ball for me. Says "can't load resource". Apart from that, not had any major problems.
Mostly just the same old issue with the way MIUI handles protocols/file types/app-links. Mtz MIUI themes open in my book reader app (?), attempting to apply a wallpaper from a third party app takes you to contacts (?), etc. etc. Then there's the weird dependencies like Explorer, Gallery and Videos which don't allow for third party apps in their place. Seriously wish that stuff could be patched out.
Other minor issues;
Text editing seems to be fiddly, backspace starts deleting characters before and after or jumping to other nearby characters.
Some WiFi data loading pauses.
Mi Mote is half Chinese
I'm guessing most of these issues are likely in the original ROM.

I try a wipe system data cache and dalvik after first miui 8 release. I installed wake lock battery to find why battery drain so much, without find solution. Disabled scanning always on in wifi took little improvment in battery life. From last 2 release, having 2 sims, bluetooth, gmail and exchange work mail setted up to push, normal use plus little using of pokemon go too I arrive to have 30% at midnight. Before the phone shutted down.Luckily I am not the only one
Just done recalibration again. Next step is Factory reset or return to miui7. Cant do more about it...
You guys that are tellin it's fixed, how much time You get, how much SOT?
Clean install/regular update with no wipes? Please give some feedback

Why can't I deactivate apps? For example, now I have to deal with the annoying google spell checker because I can't deactivate google keyboard

hey guys, I downloaded this weekly rom for my Mi5, and I had the impression that it has a native root in the permission app. But I cant seem to find it. Can someone help please?

does "install via updater app" mean using "system updates" from the "about phone" menu?
