Just to confirm above, I couldn't find root options after update.
I had flashed super su via twrp and apps had root but after scratching my head I installed the app via play and the options returned via the app.

Done everything like you say. Installed rom->load->restart->installed supersu via twrp->wipe cache&dalvik->load. Nothing. Maybe not enough wipes, or incorrect version of supersu?

Hi all, I'm using redmi note 3g on global stable 8.0.1.0 trying to flash eu global stable rom following this guide. https://xiaomi.eu/community/index.php?posts/300115 using twrp 2.8.7 But failed "error binary updater". Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I don't suggest SuperSU anymore. Anyway, download the apk from elsewhere and install.

Problem with alarm. When phone is in vibration mode, the alarm doesn't ring but just vibrate.
I checked and options to ring even if in vibration is enabled.
Already tried to wipe cache and dalvik but problem still remain.
Problema con la sveglia. In modalità silenzioso, la sveglia vibra ma non suona anche se l'opzione "Suona in modalità silenzioso" è abilitata.

flash rom, flash su then boot
Then install su from play

Which phone are you using mate? I get near 9 hours Sot on light to moderate usuage with wifi on, on Redmi note 3

I have the same issue with mi4c 6.9.15.
Even when in silence and the option to ring turned on, it doesn't ring.
This is happening to me for almost a month. i unlocked bootloader, install twrp from this forum and install Xiaomi eu rom. everything is working good. but whenever i put the device in the pocket, after few minutes when i took out from the pocket, i found its already switched off. I have to hold power button about 10 sec to turn on the device. i clean install the 6.9.15 eu rom yesterday wiping data,cache,internal storage everything. i though the problem will be gone but it still occurs in morning. don't know what to do. is it a hardware issue or software? it shutdown ONLY in pocket. random using doesn't.

Which one are you using for root? which one are you recommend over SuperSU?
I've tried phh's SuperUser as alternative but going back to SuperSU 2.78 SR1 because I see Chainfire release it

No wonder you got near 9 hour SOT on Reno. My device is Mi4C who had 3080 mAh battery
Then is better to remove sims to avoid, cause the phone lost the settings you set, and 3 use 80mhz for calls. I'm always on 3G also if I don't use internet. Be careful and remove roaming that are only useless costs that even UE is trying to eliminate.

looks like miui 8 stable has released for Redmi 3s (China Stable). I am currently using 6.9.15 eu. if I want to install 8.0.5.0 eu rom, do I have wipe everything or just wipe cache,dalvik?
Anybody else have this on mi3?

I read it wasn't solved for every model yet.

Connectivity problems on Mi5:
with changing to Miui8 connectivity problems started. The phone shows network connection. but if you start any browser or app you get the "you are offline" message.
flightmode does not solve the problem. after flightmode there is no pin request.
only solution at the moment is a reboot.
with miui 6 this never happend!

You'll need to flash first official rom, kitkat version then this one. You can't go so easily back to eu kitkat rom because of changes in partitions.
