So i read that this update removes the ability to swap back/menu button.

If in the previous roms i already set the back button on the left and menu on the right, will it still applied when i update to this version? And also does this update fix the no sound in notifications for some apps like LINE, and etc?

so far no bugs on Ido (redmi 3pro) coming from 7.3.9 via dirty flash.

i also tried the video app. i can't confirm app crash as some reported.

only annoying things are the new button functions (i hope that someday short press menu to open menu will be available again ) and that ok google now is integrated in the rom.

edit: the incall voicecanceling mic bug seems to be finally solved in this version. no need to hold finger on top side mic in phonecalls anymore

Hi, is there any option to reduce screen brightness when using camera?
I find its too bright and its really hurt my eyes when I go directly to gallery from camera apps.

Its the same for me on Redmi 4X. When i access the gallery after taking a picture, the brightness instantly increases. Not sure if its a bug or some setting, but its actually a bit annoying being flashed by the gallery

/Edit: this problem only persists when entering the gallery from stock camera app. I tried with whatsapp + instagram and the brightness behavior remains normal there

Redmi note 2 installed zero problem . Initially was going to say scrolling not very smooth , but it is lovely now ! Scanner removed from tools folder and stock browser , no loss as far as I am concerned, just mentioning it . Thanks very much Devs ,have missed these updates- my Friday ritual ,part of being a Xiaomi user

Hi guys, First I want to thanks for all the hard work developing and maintaining Xiaomi eu software.

I want to let you know that after updat to the newest 7.9.7 Xiaomi eu for my Mi5 the one button Home option is missing after reboot it restore to classic 3 buttons, I think the option was forgoten to be in new "shortcuts and gestures"

Can someone confirm? Or is it avaible but in other place in setting. Help

I really miss the swap nav buttons feature. I'm very used to press the left button for back. Now I get recents all the time.

few bugs on redmi note 4x 7.9.17:

editing gallery sometimes FC
battery drain
i turn on developer options and usb debugging, doesnt stay, if i reboot i have to do it again
battery stats turn to 0 after a reboot or turn off the phone..so if i have 3 hours of screen and reboot, turns to 1minute..cant see battery stats like i should..
blocklist also restart always after a reboot, i select no blocklist and it turns on

Hey can you look for Silent and DND mode? Works good? Try click on icon Silent in status bar. My not work

It looks fine to me. Have you checked Settings->Do not disturb? Maybe there's something you can fix there

I install on Redmi 4 Pro/Prime and i have problem with Silent Mode and DND. When i want only Silent its not work and turn on DND. Why?
In Note 4X this is work fine

In this update, the dnd mode its like 7.8.24?
I downgrade to 7.8.17, because dont like the new dnd mode.
