2 more people reported lags on mix 2 with 8.1.25 V2. One was installed with full wipe, another updated from 8.1.18 with clear cache.

AFAIK it has been removed because wasting space.
You can swipe up to open search bar.

does not work! it does not sound and does not vibrate on WhatsApp or on telegram!
It does not work with the default sound and not with fresh. I did a full wipe again without installing any apps and without restoring backups .. I installed telegram and WhatsApp on the clean phone and it does not work !!!!!Mi mix2

Hi, maybe Mr. ingbrzy can clear up the reason for this EOL. It would only be perfect if You could make it possible, to build a final version of this MIUI 9.3 with working notifications and this quick dial option. Maybe it is possible.

Yes its sad true, but Global Miui and China Miui work fine 8.1.25 and They dont EOL this phones.
Last good and worked Xiaomi.eu for Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 3 Mtk is 8.1.18.

I doubt because the international stable xiaomi version is still: Miui 8
