Ah, I've installed the 8.6.21 v2 version using TWRP (coming from the original global beta rom, unlocked bootloader, installed twrp and installed this rom using twrp) and now the MI Logo stays there all the time... The android logo down is loading but for more than 1 hour...
already tried to reinstall the .zip again - but still the same issue...
anybody else facing this issue?

EDIT: Solved - after doing a full wipe (Format the whole damn thing in TWRP) it worked.

Bluemail? notifications work except for on lockscreen.
No "urgent" setting.

Truecaller? works for calls even on lockscreen (with "urgent" setting in Call Manager), but NOT on lockscreen for sms (even with "urgent" setting in Messaging).
No "urgent" setting.
Truecaller is selected as default call & messaging app.

(Mi Note 2 & Mi Mix1)
Both Bluemail and Truecaller use deprecated notifications, all Oreo ROMs create a default channel for these apps for their notifications. Like I said, once I'm done with the modification, you will be able to override the app's Importance and force them to show on lockscreen.

So this is my first time flashing a android device. Followed the instructions, but clearly something is wrong..

Device Mi Mix 2

Unlocked device - succes
installed twrp restore - succes
Downloaded the Xiaomi EU MIUI 10 .zip file for the Mix 2 to the download folder
Wiped data through TWRP - succes
Installed the .zip through TWRP - succes

Now the phone is stuck on the loading page with MIX in the middle and android with 3 loading dots in the bottom. Been stuck for now 15 minutes after my 2nd reflash.. What have i done wrong???
Your probably using the wrong twrp, where did you download the twrp from? Use the one from xiaomi.eu of you haven't already.

Hello please can anyone help me with dt2w?? Double tap sometimes works properly but sometimes i tap a lot of times

On the mi mix 2 if I click on installed apps or permissions in settings it crashes, says can't load data at the top of settings.

Performed a dirty upgrade from the latest miui9 on MI5 and it all works well, happy so far.

My only gripe is the notification area. The new notifications are too big and the shortcut buttons are missing the quick settings access arrow.

Quick question guys, I've got a Mi4c for 2 years and it's getting update on top of update (beta) with only cache and dalvik wipes...

I'm going to give this phone so I want to clear it out and install the stable version.

It's only needed to do a factory reset before and after flashing stable on twrp or should i format data partition too?

what should i wipe?
dalvik, cache, system, data, internal storage... and format data?

tks.

Completely off topic ( sry about this)
I was reading this topic and by any chance that Igor Eisberg from AudioBudget?
Amazing site and reviews by the way.

If you are going to give the phone away, logout your Mi account from that device first and then format data to wipe everything from the device, reboot twrp and transfer the stable rom to phone and install it.

I know i have to logout of mi account. i wanted to know if i need to wipe all the partitions on the advanced wipe and format data after that...

Is it necessary or factory reset and format data is all it's needed?

tks for replying btw

Format data is all you need.
If you want to wipe sd card, then go to advanced wipe and select external sd card and wipe it too. If you have external sd card.

This is an official MIUI issue, but I already found a workaround, I hope it gets implemented for the next release.

Tried it on my Mi6.

Severe battery drain and notifications failing to display on lockscreen most of the time, also small display bugs had me annoyed. Had to roll back to Miui 9.
