You can't. Only editing the build.prop and once edited some features like face unlock will not work anymore for example.

I have also crashes on facebook and insta on Mi Note 2. Mi Mix 2 works fine

Saying that it crashes does nothing to help us solve it. Logcat, at the very least.

You need to provide more details if you want any help.
What happens if you force-stop Google Photos and restart again?
For me it always worked, also it seems you are the only person where it does not work, so not a ROM issue.

Force stop, clearing caches and data from app and play services, and also framework, do not fix the issue.
This is known (I'm not the only one) with Chinese based Rom.
I think it has to do with some Google parts missing from rom.
When I set up the global version 8.7.5 I went through the usual process of adding Google accounts. As you well know this is not present in Chinese rom and consequentially in xiaomi.eu.
Anyway I have no problems in trying again with new version...
But if you have any suggestions I will gladly appreciate it.

yes but it will not have camera with portrait option and miui 10 features, i have to thought about that hard so

Doesn't matter as long this is stable, i really wanna install this Rom.
Any date or confirmation when this will be on EU??

What do you need to do going from EU rom to global rom?

Are the natifications in MIUI 10 xiaomi.eu ROM (China Rom) now the same as in the official Global ROM? In MIUI 9 they wasn't the same

I just had checked, mine works. I was on china dev rom before, there it worked, too.
Does it show an error message? Or does it simply not download any fotos from the cloud?
Could it be a an access problem? I attached my application settings, can you compare to yours?
If you have root, you could install syslog and see if there are any Google Fotos related error messages in logcat.

Maybe I didn't explain correctly.
Photos are downloaded from the cloud but the new one I take aren't uploaded.
There's always a high right indicator in the app screen with the number of pics to backup but it stays there and nothing is uploaded.

As you can see, i have notifications, but without icons. There are icons by the way, but only on notification setup mode. In normal mode they are missing. Setup mode is when you swipe notification to the left and press gear wheel button

The samsung gear fit plugin cant be installed.

Noticed that with miui9, too but with flash official EU rom first then it worked
