Can I dirty flash this over 8.8.9 build with magisk installed?
Coz when i flashed 8.8.9 and flashed magisk and rebooted, it stucked on boot loop.
I am on whyred btw.

I think (@ingbrzy correct me if I'm wrong) that xiaomi.eu doesn't have the anti-rollback function, so you should be safe to go back.

Hmm, tried it. But didn't work. System crashed and rebootet to TWRP. My unit is already anti 4. Maybe that's the reason? F*** anti-rollback.

So I reflashed 8.8.16 again and had to stay with it in english. Hope the translators and devs find a solution for the problem.

Hi guys , every time that i use the cleaner app this shortcut adds itself to the home screen also this option to turn off the shortcut is turned on by itself always when i do the cleanup procedure , does anyone else have the same problem and maybe a way to fix it ? Device is mi8 dipper

Yes, then flash magisk zip again after flashing the rom before rebooting to system. Your magisk still working as it is.

Open Security/Settings/Manage Shortcuts and turn it off from there.

After installing this update on Mi5 (gemini) all the fingerprint functionality is gone! I mean, it's like the phone doesn't even have a fingerprint scanner, if I go in the options I can only setup face unlock, but the option for fingerprint is just gone! Is this a known bug of this version? Or should I just factory-reset?

you need dummy.img to flash in fastboot o u can install twrp after u boot in twrp

Same results here. Getvar anti says ant:3 , so i think isnt arb4, but something wrong anyway. 8.8.16 much slower than 8.8.9, all system i stutter, camera start very slow. (not user error.... )

Hmm, same happens to me #263 . Couldn't go back to 8.8.9.

How you can say bootloop? It takes 10 to 15 minutes before booting up. Just wait and be patience.

Try installing the new ROM, wipe cache, reboot to system, reboot again to TWRP, install magisk, wipe cache and boot to system

I used file explorer within twrp as I didn't understand the mount thing (well I thought I did but couldn't see the correct folder either)
Using file explorer I located GPS.conf by looking at the screenshot on here to confirm I was looking in the right place!

I don't know if this week's rom fixed gps, after i did the GPS test using the test menu via *#*#6484#*#* it was fine in last week's rom (I posted the fix I'd found in last week's Rom forum)

Using twrp I merely confirmed that my GPS.conf was present and it is.
