i have 2 questions. I have latest stable xiaomi. eu rom for mi note 3 and if i wanna to go with this beta is it ok just to wipe data partition and install rom via twrp. and can someone tell me is camera good like in stable.

1)I have problems with todo task manager "tick tick" at 8.8.3 (mi5s).
1.1) Some notification in bar has no text of todo, only name of application
1.2) Click on notifocation in bar make nothing sometimes (doesn't open application)
2) Sometime notification (of all apps) in bar is hidden (phone unlocked)

Don't adwise to clean system as it is not needed.

It's not possible now in MIUI 10. They omitted that features. You view it only in lockscreen.

I think it was the steps that i did wrongly..

1) i first flashed it from SD card
2) i did a wipe data and noticed that TWRP does not ask for password anymore
3) i did a reboot and realised the MIUI alr updated to EU rom

so how do i proceed now? the data is already formatted... do i need to flash again from internal memory? can i flash the same version will there be any problems?

1. yes you can do that and wipe cache and dalvik afterward or just do dirty install without wiping data/internal/system... just install the new ROM and wipe dalvik and cache later

2. camera is worse that stable one so better wait for 8.8.9 tomorrow

Anyone with mi5 that can let me know how is the gps working with this Rom?

I was on the previous weekly rom miui10 and gps was not working at all!

I had to downgrade to the latest nougat xiaomi.eu rom because apparently a lot of people have issue with gps (on mi5 at least) with Oreo xiaomi.eu Rom.

Now that i am on nougat, the gps is working fine with waze and maps.


But after getting used to the beautiful miui10 it's hard to go back to miui9...

I really want miui10 but i can't because of the gps.

Anyone with a solution??

Any chance to have miui10 for mi5 but on nougat?

Did you install the latest Rom 8.8.3? I have also a Mi5 and the GPS is good and optimized in the latest Rom.

Maybe some settings to check?

So, i managed to make it work correctly, for anyone that could be interested, here's how i fixed the magisk lag on my Mi5 on Oreo;
-Update the device by flashing the latest rom (beta)
-Reboot the device to let it configure whatever it needs
-Reboot to recovery again and flash magisk 16.4.
-Reboot the device and go to magisk>Settings>'magisk core only' (Enable it) and reboot
-After the reboot just disable 'magisk core only' and reboot one last time.
Everything went perfect after that

hi guys i have alr tried re wipe and install via internal memory.. but still having some issues with the gallery not showing images and videos saved from messaging apps..

i tried an app call scanmedia and it worked... it appears that there is a problem with the auto media scanner for some of the folders.. anyone knows of this?

when i connect the phone to PC via USB, the folder of the messaging app is empty but inside File Manager of the phone i can see the files... oh dear!

I had manually flashed 8.8.2 trhu twrp and i have the wifi allways on issue, its not draining that much battery but its draining faster than before

Actually I have two mi5 at home, mine and my wife's
We were both on 8.7.19

We discovered this issue with the GPS, believe me that I've looked into all the possible settings
in CIT the GPS test succeed poorly, no more than 4 satelites, but in maps and waze NOTHING unable to get a fix
This is how I was sure that it was not an hardware issue.

So I downgraded to 8.3.15 (nougat) and the gps is working fine and with a fast fix too.

My wife's mi5 is still on 8.7.19 and believe me that there is no way to have a working waze or maps there.

Same for me, used GPS 6 hours driving no issue at all with 8.8.3.

Here is the one that I got from the rom, it doesn't seems to be optimized for europe...
