If I want to upgrade but keeping my personal data...
Is it better to flash using TWRP or from the preexistent MIUI OTA?
Result is the same.
MIUI Updater app uses TWRP (or stock recovery if TWRP is not installed).
You can update "manually" with TWRP or "automated" with Updater app using OTA.

EDIT: You ask for update from previous weekly rom version ?

Hi all.
Someone have tested this on redmi 5 plus?
Do you devs know if some day we will have oreo on this phone?
Thanks

Where is a "region" option?

The EU ROMs do not have a region option, the region is hard-coded to Poland. It works perfectly well with this setting, and although I, too, would prefer to set my region "correctly", I realize that it is better not to tamper with the preset region.

Mi mix 2 error 7 ??

I have skipped 8.9.13 on my Mi Note 3 and updated from 8.9.6.0 to this. Thank you for your hard work. Really appreciated. But this update makes my phone extremely slow, unresponsive and sluggish. I suggest to not use this version on a Mi Note 3.

Good work again! Only the direct access to battery statistics go to optimization as 8.9.13 previous version

Clean install or dirty flash?

Search in /root/system/build.prop
Or install from play store a build.prop editor
After that search for "region" word.
Press at "ro.miui.region" and change the region that you want (ex. if you want Poland, type PL)

great thanks a lot. it helps me because I want to activate facial recognition.
and I guess for Hong Kong, it'll be HK.

Facial recognition would be available for all Xiaomi devices using xiaomi.eu on any region
Ps. Yes - Hong Kong is HK

I have the pocophone and I can not choose the "Region" because the menu does not appear. With the build.prob editor, it does not work.

You can go both of the ways I wrote. You will keep your data.
But please remember: This ist beta rom ! To be on the safe side invest 3 minutes and do full TWRP backup before update.
