I think you're wrong
As I understand, xioami.eu's ROM doesn't touch recovery partition

You have official recovery, I think you used command "fastboot boot *.img" instead "fastboot flash recovery *.img",you should use second command and TWRP won't go anywhere

These ROM's in my opinion rather better than official

Nah this is not a fingerprint issue, the China audio module for certain devices rejects Voice Match, and MI8Explorer doesn't have a Global ROM for us to work around it.
