So I bought the Mi4c off ibuygou.com about two years ago at this stage. I didn't know at the time as I wasn't too knowledgeable on the whole area but it came with what I now know was a xiaomi.eu ROM installed (xiaomi.eu_multi_libra_5.10.8_v7-5.1.zip to be specific). I just thought it was an official ROM.

I went to try and update to MIUI8 a few days ago and through searching ended up mistakenly downloading and installing the official Chinese version (miui_MI4c_V8.2.1.0.LXKCNDL_2bd621faaa_5.1.zip) through the updater app and apps like the Google Play Store now won't work.

From my understanding, my phone and bootloader was previously unlocked by ibuygou to install the xiaomi.eu version but by installing the official version I have now locked my phone and need to do the following:

1. Apply to get my phone unlocked by xiaomi
2. Follow the guide on the thread for MIUI8.2 6.12.22 and install the last stable version of xiaomi.eu miui8 for android 5.1 as I don't want to have to update to 7

Is this correct?
Thanks!
