Better display of notifications

Evening all from the UK I have had a 10t pro for about 6 weeks after swapping from years of tedious Samsung phones and most of the time I use "dnd" due to being a bus driver but my notifications consist of a tiny pulsing led top left of screen so my question is is there a way of illuminating the edges or similar of the screen?

I think if you use Silent mode instead of DND, the LED lights up for notifications.
