Hi guys,

It looks like I messed up and would really appreciate your help and advice here. I tried to update my Mi Note Pro leo MIUI 77.0.55.00 to the stable ROM from this site and something went wrong. Here is what I did:

1. Downloaded xiaomi.eu_multi_leo_V7.2.1.0.LXHCNDA_v7-5.1.zip ROM
2. Downloaded TWRP for Xiaomi Note Pro v2.8.6.0
3. Fastbooted into TWRP

4. Chose "Wipe" -> "Advanced Wipe" ->
[x] Dalvik Cache
[x] cache
[x] System <- probably should not have done this
[x] data
[x] Internal Storage

5. Swiped to wipe all of the above

6. Uploaded zipped ROM to /data:
> adb push xiaomi.eu.... .zip /data/rom/xiaomi.zip

7. TWRP -> "Install" -> Chose uploaded xiaomi.zip ROM -> "Swipe to confirm flash"
8. "Reboot System" -> "Do Not install" (root)

9. Reboots showing "Mi' logo
10. After a minute or so it shows "Android" logo at the bottom and running dots.

11. After about 10 minutes or so "Android" logo changes into grey progress bar that gets from 0 to 100 in about 2 minutes and nothing happens.

12. If I click "Power" button, progress bar disapears and "Android" logo comes back.

Please advise on where I should go from here on.
Cheers!

For reference: if I reboot and fastboot into TWRP again and then run some commands, here is what I see:

Ok, I managed to unbrick it using suggestions in the below threads. There are two ways to unbrick (essentialy using the same idea):

1. TWRP / Flash Recovery Image: http://en.miui.com/thread-124319-1-1.html
2. Xiaomi Utilities: http://en.miui.com/thread-118114-1-1.html

Now I am on CN ROM but at least it can boot into GUI and presumably be re-flashed into something better.

EDIT: IT locks the bootloader, so I will now need to see the "Unlock Guide"

Guys, really, is there a good guide on how to flash EU ROM please?

your mistake was to wipe internal storage, if you do that you messed up everything and cant flash the rom..
dont wipe internal storage and all will be fine.
To unlock bootloader

Your ROM 77.00.55.00 is a fake "webshop" ROM. This is not official. You need to change it as soon as possible.
But first you need to know, that is your Bootloader opened or closed.
If your BL is open, you can flash TWRP recovery, and Install new EU ROM.

Weekly based on chinese-english developer ROM. Stable is based on chinese-englis stable ROM.
Weekly gets updates (OTA or manually) every week. Stable gets updates every 3-4 months.

For ROM flash you need this http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/how-to-unlock-bootloader-mi-note-pro-100-works.30557/

or you need this:

1. First of all download all the things you need.
fastboot driver http://www.mediafire.com/download/r4jj46i5683yapf/minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup.exe and this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/o7yy3d04u8ytu51/MiSetup3.2.1.3111_2717.zip and install these to your PC!
twrp https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759888160 Unpack this zip and you will find an IMG file and Copy it to Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder
2. Power off your device and turn it back on Fastboot mode
3. Woohoo great now what you will have to do is plug your phone to your PC using a usb cable. Wait until drivers installed correctly.
4. Go to Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder on your PC and run BAT file with admin rights.
5. Now type in the black box fastboot devices just to make sure that your device is listed correctly.
6. Now type in the black box fastboot boot twrp.img
7. Now your phone should boot into TWRP!! :D
In TWRP if you enable MTP, you can transfer your ROM from your PC to your PHONE.
Now you can make FACTORY RESET on WIPE menu. And after you can install new LEO ROM Stable: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911976143 or Developer: http://miuif.celogeek.com/6.3.24/xiaomi.eu_multi_leo_6.3.24_v7-5.1.zip
8. Reboot and (if you are a lucky guy) your phone will reboot on your new system. And your stock MiRecovery remains...

Thanks guys, everything worked, I have unlocked the Boot Loader, installed the latest LEO DEV and testing it now. The only thing not covered by the guide is that Windows 8 and Windows 10 would generally reject to install Qualcomm drivers as those are not signed.

How to solve this?

One should follow attached .pdf guide on how to temporarily prevent Windows from prohibiting the usage of unsigned drivers.

I guess, I should taske time and summarize my experience and your useful advice in a big "Begginners guide to Mi Note Pro for non-China residents" to prevent others stepping over the same rake :)
