In the official updater gives me the error “Couldn't update. Download the ROM and try again.” every time I try to update from 1.0.3.0 to the latest version. I tried on different networks but it won’t work. I thought flashing a fastboot ROM might help, but I need an unlocked bootloader. I’ve followed all the usual steps: SIM card inserted, mobile data on, account bound in developer options, OEM unlocking and USB debugging (including security settings) enabled, valid Mi account, device not banned. However, when I try to apply for unlock permission through Mi Community, I keep getting the message “Application limit reached, please try again after 00:00.” I’ve tried this on May 9, 10, and 11, right at midnight in china still nothing. The Mi Unlock Status just sends me to the Mi Community page. The phone came with HyperOS out of the box. My battery percentage is also stuck at 53%, which makes me think it’s a software issue that could be fixed with an update.
If anyone knows a fix to "Couldn't update. Download the ROM and try again." would be really helpful
