Disable Sms At Sim Change

Hi,
I currently use 2 sims in my Mi5, a few months ago I changed provider and, when I inserted the new sim, an SMS was sent from it. I understand it's a safety system and I guess it checks for the ICCID of the sim before sending the SMS. I'm going to change operator again in a few weeks (and the new plan has no SMS bundle) I was wondering if there is a way to manually insert a new ICCID in a whitelist or something (or connecting to my online account), so when I insert that sim the SMS won't be sent.

Maybe it was the verification SMS for Mi account. There's no other SMS being sent, as far as I know and I think you are warned when Mi account verification SMS is being sent and you can deny it. Mi account stuff might not work after that...

I checked my Mi account and found nothing about it, I'll see next time I change SIM... thank you for your reply ;-)
