Distortion through ear peice

Hi, got another question. Had my Galaxy S3 replaced under warranty (was replaced with a refurbished phone, not brand new) and when connected to Bluetooth through car audio system I have NO issues when making calls but when disconnected from Bluetooth some of the calls are distorted but it only happens with the same people.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

Does not happen when using stock Samsung firmware.

What is your firmware if not stock? There could be a driver issue that is causing distortion.
