Exchange and Office 365 service missing in Gmail (Mi 10T Pro)

Hi,

I just bought a Mi 10T Pro and flashed it with the 12.5 EU stable ROM.

ROM works like a charme so far. Only thing I'm mising is the "Exchange and Office 365" service in Gmail accounts. On my Mi 9T I added my Office 365 account to Gmail, so I didn't have to use native Outlook app and had my work-calendar and private-calendar together in the Google Calendar.

Now when I try to add my 365 account to Gmail I only have these options: Google, Outlook/Hotmail, Yahoo and Other. When I try to add 365 account via Outlook-service, it cannot retrieve mail/calendar-items. 365 mail can be added to Gmail; see this steps Set up O365 email in Android Gmail app - Virsage Support Portal ).

Is this service removed from the ROM? And can I add it somehow? Thanks!

I know this is a very old thread but I had the same problem and found this message without an answer before finding a solution for myself.

After following these steps, the option appeared for me (Mi 9 Lite on 12.5 Stable ROM):
1. Disable the Mi Mail app
2. Clear data of the Gmail app
3. Reboot phone
4. Start the Gmail app and the Exchange option is available

I did not need to install an Exchange services apk, as other threads suggested.

Hope this helps anyone who encounters the same problem.
