Fingerprint scanner was always working all of a sudden disappeared completely

My Xiaomi 12S finger print scanner always worked however, all of a sudden it still flashed but didn't recognise fingerprint at all, thereafter I restarted device and it completely disappeared even from settings.

Doesn't make sense I updated to latest stable thor version as well still no luck.

Assistance would be appreciated.
