Yeah I have also heard that there is actually no micro sd, xiaomi fans admin said so....

This is really bad news. Can someone confirm this?

seems thats the case, 16gb, prob 4 will go to the rom and 10 for internal sd

look at the picture .. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/08/xiaomi-phone-2-hands-on2012-08-175.jpg

that is going to be a kind of turn off there, i mean i dont have that much softwares and garbage but this is very limited.

Good god - 1999 yuan is £200! That's an insane amount of tech for the money.

I've used MIUI now for as long as it's been in english so I know the software is solid (by which I mean awesome).
My only concern is the camera - If the camera can match the S3, then i'm probably sold, but until I actually see a review of the camera, I won't make my mind up.
Are you serious? I'm sorry but who gives a damn about the camera? If you want to have a decent camera you shouldn't be expecting it from a phone, man! Just look at the RAM and CPU and the amazing screen!! :p

oh my faking dog.. 2000 rmb for a phone like that , makes me just wants to throw my current xiaomi from the window and buy this one .. boy...
Yes, I'm having that feeling also right now!

That is indeed very bad news since I have a 32 GB micro-SD card especially bought for my current Mi-One... :(

I asked MarkHUK and he said this is nonsense and it will have a micro sd slot :)

i pray for it too.. but what is the purpose of internal sd memory 16gb then?

and in the website it doesnt say external sd up to 32 gb like it says with xiaomi 1

I hate the fact that I'm on Verizon and I've had the option to upgrade for 5 months. I've been waiting for a great phone to come around to purchase, I find it in the Mi-2 and it won't work with it. No cdma love?

WCDMA / CDMA / GSM

I don't see CDMA is listed as network band.Certainly not CDMA2000 3G support for now.

Connectivity
Connectivity Technology: GSM + WCDMA 3G network
Network Band: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz & WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz
Data Technology: GPRS / EDGE / HSPA+
Bluetooth: Bluetooth 2.1
WLan: Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
USB: USB 2.0
GPS: GPS/A-GPS

Some background as I research the formats:
CDMA and W-CDMA use the same underlying technlogy. That's where the
similarity ends. GSM uses TDMA technology, but that's about the only
relation it has to TDMA (IS-136.)
CDMA2000, which, for example, Verizon Wireless and SprintPCS use, is a completely different protocol than WCDMA, which is the migration path for GSM systems. They use the same underlying concept or multiple users sharing the same frequency band using spread-spectrum techniques, but how they do it is completely different. Totally different "languages".
Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) phones will not work with Verizon. WCDMA is a 3G voice and data transfer standard and an extension of GSM, the Global System for Mobile Communication. In the United States, AT&T and T-Mobile use WCDMA, while Verizon and Sprint do not.

Sorry, but how can U know it in 100%???
Do U have photo of Mi2 with sd-slot?
In official site there is no any links about it...

Sorry, for my bad English...
Mark is definitely a reliable source as he's one of the important people who has been translating MIUI in English on this site. Furthermore, Mark is also one of the few people who will be getting the phone first from Xiaomi. So if he says it has a SD slot, you better believe it. :)

can anyone confirm that this will work on T-mobile network. if it does i will be buying it online.

Can't wait ! And apparently this phone may be sold within France :)
For once we are lucky ^^

I believe Mi-2 may not have MicroSD card slot after all. Two reasons:
Firstly, I couldn't find it on the device's schematics (picture with battery shown: http://p.www.xiaomi.com/images/new816/mi2/mi2_26_new.jpg),
secondly, this post from twitter:
http://twitter.com/XiaomiChina/status/246149348717637632/photo/1/large
Check out ROM row: 3 out of 4 devices (MI-2 included) say "built-in". Only Galaxy S III says "expandable".

So my only question now is: when and for how much I'll be able to get Xiaomi Mi-2 with 32gb rom. If its a long wait and device is expensive ($360 is ok, $500 is not), I'll just go grab something available right now in a local shop.

I'd be grateful for any info as soon as you have it.
