Good god - 1999 yuan is £200! That's an insane amount of tech for the money.
I've used MIUI now for as long as it's been in english so I know the software is solid (by which I mean awesome).
My only concern is the camera - If the camera can match the S3, then i'm probably sold, but until I actually see a review of the camera, I won't make my mind up.

I think we will have the same like m1 , In the middle of Dec will be selling for all ...oh my faking dog.. 2000 rmb for a phone like that , makes me just wants to throw my current xiaomi from the window and buy this one .. boy...
At the end of 2012 when Xiaomi will be selling with stock ... you can do it ! haha

Where did you get your current xiaomi ? Last year I was looking for it but couldnt find any websites with international shipping and normal price. Mi One is still hanging on ebay.co.uk for 300+ pounds...
Which is making me consider about upgrading, seems to greedy tho, I have only been using my xiaomi one for five months now

Because they didnt have the correct spec, they guessed and made fools of themselves ;-)
How to get this phone from outside China!
Step 1 - Get express mail forwarding from China; this is essentially an address in China where you can get your mail sent to, held for you then forwarded to your address in the UK, USA etc https://www.etoec.com/index.htm (Thats a mail forwarding supplier I just googled)
Step 2 - Pre-order/Buy the phone when it gets released in October and have the phone delivered to your address in China
Step 3 - Send the phone to your address in the UK, USA etc via your Chinese mail forwarder!
This is what I intend to do! You could potentially get your phone 1 Week after release!! No Months and Months of waiting!
Theres so many dodgy websites out there selling phones, marking up the prices etc, this phone is roughly £200 but you can bet the 3rd Party's and Online Stores will sell it for double the price! Doing the above steps puts you in control of how much you pay and when you get your phone!
I just hope customs dont sting me!!

buying a mi one right now is so pointless, even if its only 1299 rmb.
thats like buying iphone 4s knowing that iphone 5 is coming out very soon..
back to xiaomi 2, the cellphone is so tempting, im so happy with my current xiaomi that i think i ll suck it up for 1 more year until xiaomi 3 is released.. but damn the idea of frontal camera, better overall performance, better battery seems too tempting, and not to mention its comin with jelly bean miui which im also sure it will come with superaccess root thingy ( i dont feel like messing too much just to root my phone )
hope they release kernel sources for xiaomi 1.. that would be so great!
I'd be fairly confident that they'll release a 4.1 Rom for the original MI-One.

It seems SGS3 are running for around $600 on swappa. Going to sell my SGS3. Use the profits to buy an MI TWO
Well it's an absolute beast for sure. Was hoping for 4.5 inches but that PPI is still crazy nice. I also would have liked to have seen something slightly slimmer, but i guess thats the price you pay for large batteries.
The big questions though....
1. Where is the SD Card slot!?
2. Is the camera actually upgraded or the same sensor as the M1?
3. Is the battery removable?
4. How long until meizu file the law suit?

Great Phone, Great price, not so good for people outside of china. Hopefully by October there will be something else just as good available internationally.
