Flashing mi 10 Pro

Hi everyone,
New to the xiaomi community, i bought a mi 10 pro (without checking the dual sim thing for europe version...).

Since my purchase I found that I could run dual sim if I flash my phone to EU ROM.

I managed to install TWRP but I am a bit lost on how to install the rom.

Installation via TWRP:
- Download zip to internal storage
- Updater - Menu (...) - Reboot to Recovery
- Install - Select zip
- Reboot
- Done

I don't get the "installation" via TWRP

Shall I just put the rom file on internal storage and then ?

Hello,

These steps is for installating a new Xiaomi.eu ROM version over a previous one, via TWRP.

What you have to follow/do is (in TWRP):

FORMAT /data partition (NEVER wipe System or Persist!) = "Format Data" button in "Wipe" menu
Copy our ROM to the internal storage => If you can't copy it, go in "Reboot" menu and select "Recovery" then copy it
Install our ROM
Reboot

What do you mean by "in TWRP" ? how can I enter that mode ? (sorry for the newb questions)


So basically i have to copy the rom to internal storage, enter TWRP mode and follow you instructions ?

TWRP = a custom recovery

To boot in recovery mode, hold " Vol + " and " Power " buttons simultaneously during the boot.

Copy the ROM only after formatting data => It will be deleted if you copy it before. ^^

When trying to access TWRP I still end up with "mi-recovery 3.0".
Verified my installation of TWRP and it was okay.

I must be missing something

edit!: got an info on the TWRP thread, andswitched to https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-3-5-1-unofficial-twrp-xiaomi-mi-10-pro-cmi.4241711/

worked like charm, now about to try to install that Rom/

Do not "fastboot reboot".

After "fastboot flash recovery" command, hold " Vol+" and "Power" buttons simultaneously until you see the TWRP splashscreen.

edit : after install, keeps booting on TWRP, anything to do after installing rom ? (tryed reboot => system)
edit 2 : wiped again phone, resintalled and working.thanks !

Little update, my phone works perfectly except for sometimes after being a long time connected to wifi, if I shut it off i dont have any network for something like 10-15m (H+ is shown but can't call / text or go on internet).

Tried reseting APN and rebooting nothing works except time.

Anyone with that issue ?

Edit : was due to wrong APN info, contacted my carrier which provided up to date info and voila
