Reflash stock rom via Miflash tool andno idea why also, it happened only for some users.
I was trying to avoid that xDReflash stock rom via Miflash tool and
1. Go to stock recovery (power key + volume up) wipe data.
2. Put your phone in fastboot and install twrp.
3. Copy rom with adb push command.
4. Install rom via twrp
So you can downgrade to 12.5.4 xiaomi.eu rom (you won't lose data).I was trying to avoid that xD
will that fix twrp not decrypting? cause i can dirty flash it without decrypting. So you can downgrade to 12.5.4 xiaomi.eu rom (you won't lose data).
Then install TWRP and switch to weekly rom if you want.
However, when you switch from stable rom to weekly rom, you must format the data
I think you have some problem installing twrp. I and a lot of people have had no problems with decrypting at all.will that fix twrp not decrypting? cause i can dirty flash it without decrypting.
Everything is wrong here...[...]
As the data can't be decrypted i can't wipe or format data. Only dirty flashing weeklies.
connecting the phone to the pc (Mounting USB Storage) will get 2/3 folders, if you copy the rom next to those two it will be on /data/media.Everything is wrong here...
Encrypted/Decrypted state of the /data partition doesn't matter if you want to wipe or format it, but:
- Wipe /data will remove all files in /data partition but will keep encryption (if it exists)
- "Format Data" will remove all files in /data partition AND will remove encryption (if it exists)
How can you dirty flash if you can't decrypt data? By using an external storage?
1 - Yes, i had been updating the fastboot roms and then flashed twrp, formatted data, rebooted to recovery, and flashed 21.5.20 (i think it was the first one without fastboot)I think you have some problem installing twrp. I and a lot of people have had no problems with decrypting at all.
1. Did you download and install twrp as instructed in this thread?
2. When you download rom xiaomi.eu 12.5.7, did you perform the zip file unlock first?
Also, what rom did your phone use before? What screen lock method do you use? Does your password only include numbers or does it have characters?
3. Does your phone have a 2nd space?
Your error is point 1 on your list1 - Yes, i had been updating the fastboot roms and then flashed twrp, formatted data, rebooted to recovery, and flashed 21.5.20 (i think it was the first one without fastboot)
2 - I didn't had that option and always worked without it on fastboot roms.
I was on 12.5 CN, unlocked and started flashing eu via fastboot and i've always used a pattern as lock method.
3 - No, never used that.
i'm pretty sure i did booted instead of flashing twrpYour error is point 1 on your list
No one told you to install twrp!!
To get out of this mess, try this.
Go into Fastboot, flash older rom as usual.
(To restore boot.img to sane state)
Then boot into Fastboot again and issue:
fastboot.exe boot twrp.img
From this twrp, flash the latest rom.
That's it.
To anyone else on this wrong road, do not attempt to install or inject twrp, it's not necessary nor recommended.
It's simply not the right way, so don't wonder why our maintainer are not answering, the mistake is yours, solve it!

Yes, that's true for you. However, in some cases, there will be an error when not unlocking as recommended by xiaomi.eu.What does it mean unlock? I never unlocked the zip file with right mouse coz its not encrypted with a password and its working like a charme
You unlock "fastboot" ROM files because you are using your computer to flash those ROMs. For "recovery" ROM files, this is not relatable.Yes, that's true for you. However, in some cases, there will be an error when not unlocking as recommended by xiaomi.eu.
I have experienced it myself
Maybe. But I was in the rom 12.5.7 for twrpYou unlock "fastboot" ROM files because you are using your computer to flash those ROMs. For "recovery" ROM files, this is not relatable.
Okay then, if you're sure then i wonder where your problems come from, the majority of the users seems not to have them, anyway, maybe you should start fresh as described?i'm pretty sure i did booted instead of flashing twrp
Did this:
-----------EDIT 20.5.2021--------------
Since weekly 21.5.20 and Stable 12.5.7.0, we are releasing TWRP version of our ROMs for MI11, MI11Pro/Ultra..
TWRP install via fastboot command
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
To change TWRP language to English, press bottom right button and select English..
TWRP for MI11 venus
TWRP for MI11Pro/Ultra mars/star
For install ROM, just select Install - ROM zip - reboot
Seen like no one experience my error at all!I think you should download the rom file by PC. Then unlock the zip file. Copy to phone and try to flash again
Re-download rom and flash.Seen like no one experience my error at all!
but i've never complained about anything. just asked a question based on a mod said earlier. To wait for a updated twrp, just that.Okay then, if you're sure then i wonder where your problems come from, the majority of the users seems not to have them, anyway, maybe you should start fresh as described?

This error is caused by your Mi account. You only need to log in with another Mi account to register successfully.Hey there,
I was following all the steps to unlock my MI 11, but the Mi Unlock tool says "Please add your acoount in MIUI's Settings > Developer options > MI Unlock status." (see screenshot). I did this but when I'm tapping on "Add account and device" (yes, wifi is turned off and mobile data on) only a message appears: "Added successfully. Mi Account is associated with this device now." (see other screenshot)
I can hit that button as often as I want to, there will allways pop up the some old message. That status doesn't change and after turning it off, going to Fastboot I will still have that message in Mi Unlock tool... Is there a mistake during my process or can I do something different?
Thanks in advance... I'm becoming very desperate...View attachment 37368
