Hongimi won't turn on unless plugged in... it's brand new and not fake

I just purchased a Hongmi and i tried to root it although once rooted I couldn't reboot to recovery.. the phone just reboots into the normal ROM..

I have also noticed if I unplug the device from the usb cable and turn off/on, the phone doesn't power on.

Is there any reason for this? Help is very much appreciated!

How are you trying to enter in recovery mode?
Have you tried turning the phone off and then turn it back on with the combination of keys Volume - and Power?
Also have you checked if it's a real hongmi?

hi there, yes i tried that.

I am pretty sure it's real, I checked via CPU-Z and the CPU, resolution etc was official.

Just restore the phone using spflash tool method. There's a thread with a tutorial, should be one of the top in the main list
